I attempted to get a quote from them, but they refused to come out unless my wife and I were there togethera high pressure and dated sales tactic. In todays world where adults are working opposite schedules the last thing you want to do is waste time with a stranger in your house. I expressed this and they didn't care at all. This doesn't mean they don't do good work, but it does mean they are probably over priced, will use high pressure sales tactics, and really don't care about their customers well being. I would encourage anyone looking for roofing quotes to move along from this company. You'll be taken advantage of for sure.

Does not honor the lifetime warranty I paid for because their franchise store went out of business. Spoke with other customers in my town and they were told the same thing. Now they are advertising the exact product and warranty to new unsuspecting customers. Dozens of similar stories from every city they are in.Review from Brian C

We the wife and i moved to ******, IL in November 2021 we bought an older house that we new needed some repairs and a good cleaning in the first few months we identified some roofing issues that need immediate attention so we contacted Honest Abe Roofing.They were up front with us tell us what needed to be fixed " buckling decking" and other heat related issues with our roof ventilation so we had them repair the decking add peak venting, the technician recommended we cleaner soffit vents after doing so our house is easier to cool and our ac unit runs far less than it did prior the the peak vent installation and soffit vents being cleaned.I would defiantly call them again with any of our roofing needs ***** and *****************************Review from B. Substandard work at best at my home, I have going issue with my roof to this day. For starters my roof vent was installed facing the wrong way. The were suppose to strip it down to the bare wood decking. Why do I have 2 layers at places?? The roof was never strip down as promised. They supposed to replace a rotten board, they didn't the rotten board is still there after all these years. We had an ongoing leak in one room, they claim it travel thro the Bedford stone then came out in the attic then on the ceiling... Ridiculous. The real reason: the nails they used to nail down the shingles, the heads were almost rusted off. That was the source of leak, they came here over 16 times, not once bother to check that properly. They blamed every other thing instead of fixing the issue. They promise you the world, once they get their money, that is it. This only issue makes me sick, the first time we used them AAA +++ oustanding service. The second time, wow it is like a whole another company. Please, please be careful. The only question is will they return to complete the work promised or will they continue to ignore us .. even though we spent over $24,000.Honest Abe Roofing Terre Haute Response

Good day *******,Thank your review and pointing out we have been to your home to address your concerns. The areas of your home honest abe roofing roofed doesn't have any roof vents and the areas we roofed was tore off per our agreement. Years ago we came out to your house and identified that the masonry on your home had lots of areas for concern and that it's porous. We sealed it and followed up to verify that the leaks had stopped. This type of maintenance is not a one and done. The process has to be repeated from time to time. The last time we came to your home we advised you that you need to reseal the masonry on your home again. The first time we did this just to show you this was the problem. If you would like us to preform this work or anything else for you in the future just give us a call. Thank you.Customer Response

Unfortunately, I would like for you to complete the work as promised. You NEVER replaced the items as stated in our contract. I can send you a current picture of the board that you suppose to be replaced. it is still there, explain that. Since it was a " complete tear off" the previous roof vent was removed. We paid B& D construction to seal our masonry, Even after have them seal the Bedford stone , the roof continue leak still. Same spot, the leak was cause by roofing nails install at improper locations. Again, the heads of the nails are almost rusted off. We two independent visually inspect our roof. Within 30 minutes one company they found the source of the leak in the roof, then other company within 1 hour finding at the same exact spot, we can send you pictures of the improperly installed nails. Say what you want, you did us so wrong. SHAME ON YOU!!Review from Carla D

We had an appointment with this company, *** stated he was an ordained minister, he seen we were in desperate need of a roof. He did his sales pitch, then went out to his truck in private, came back in, stated we had 2 loan companies approved for a total of $82900, for an average one story country home with a 90 year old stroke victim, a 62 year old disabled man I was desperate and agreed because we were about to lose our roof. The crew was great and got the roof knocked out quickly, with new gutters, fascia, and soffit. We were told this is a guaranteed two lifetime roof, however our guttering is not working correctly and we have a leak in our bathroom. I have contacted them via phone, email, and certified letter regarding these issues along with a request for an itemized statement with no response. We did receive one phone call stating they received the letter and stating someone would be out for repairs but no mention of itemized statement. When I brought it up, they said ***, would have to contact me back and I have not received any response. If you spend this amount of money for a roof you are entitled to know exactly where and how every ***** was spent. We were also told any monies that were not spent on the roof would go back on the loan, and since the estimate was supposedly including all new new wood which we did not end up needing, where did that money go, because it was not reapplied to the loan. I just don't feel that the roof should have cost this much and need an itemized statement with a breakdown of all charges and materials used which I have not received since August 2021. I was particularly impressed with how thoroughly they cleaned the yard and everything after the installation of the roof was done they were very thorough they were very curtious, they were prompt,and they worked very hard on the roof which has had some challenging spots in it Thanks *****
