We purchased a property in Brown County that was being rented by the previous owner as a short term vacation rental. She told us the property manager was trustworthy and her business would suffer if we didn't continue the rentals. We didn't necessarily want to to rent but we followed her advice to help the property manager and thought the income would help pay for some improvements.During the ensuing 10 months, we struggled to interpret the financial spreadsheets BCVR provided. Some rentals were through AirBnB and other through VRBO and others through BCVR. The deposits didn't match the rental charges and BCVR's spreadsheets didn't make sense. After the first two months , BCVR stopped paying us any income she collected for renting our property. We requested, multiple times, for more intelligible spreadsheets, but they were never understandable .After months of frustration, we stopped renting and asked BCVR to pay us the remaining balance that we were owed, around $ *****. BCVR stopped responding to us, and now we feel we are out of options. We know of two other property owners who have worked with BCVR and BCVR owes them both money. It's discouraging that you have an individual operating an illegitimate business and taking advantage of property owners.
