We hired Epic concrete to completely renovate our front porch by removing our old porch which had a major crack in it and was causing it be unlevel and pour a new porch. We were told the porch had a 2 year warranty and within 6 months the new porch cracked in the same spot the old porch cracked. We have been attempting to reach out to this company and spoke with the owner ***** and many employees who promised they would stop by the home to seal the crack to ensure it would not get worse. We have reached probably over 20 times in the past 7 months and each time they promise to seal it, they never show. We are spent thousands to replace this porch and have given this company over half a year to fix this issue. Now with it being winter time , it is too cold to fix. We are highly disappointed in the customer service, quality and lack of trust weve experienced with this company. All we wanted was to pay for a service and be treated fairly and this was a horrible experience leaving us frustrated and felt very taken advantage of. We would not recommend them after what they put us through for 7 months.

On 3/31 received a quote to remove and replace driveway porch, and walk along the side of the garage. project began April 1st. It was to include running the gutters underground to the backyard and filling in all dirt and reseed the lawn as well as sealing the concrete. May 4th they were to finish the the lawn, was told someone would be there no one shows. Text on the 5th and again was told someone would be here again no show. Same thing on May 8th -8th 10th 12th 15th 16th. This continues until May 23rd. In the mean time we find that the gutters are not draining properly and that it would need to be re dug and install a French drain which resulted in a hole in my backyard for a week before the job was finished. I also have issues with stains in the concrete since it is now 31 days and has yet to be sealed. Was told he would take care it and would get the driveway power washed and sealed. When power washing the first time I now have marks in the concrete. Did not come the next day to seal it. Again on June 5th it was power washed again and sealed. I now have areas with large swish marks from the sealer not properly applied. You can see color difference between areas with and without sealer. June 16th texted that I now have a crack in the apron as well as the area where the stair meets the sidewalk as well as the area where the driveway meets the street was never properly finished as agreed in the proposal. His response was he would be out the week of June 27th . Never came by and since I have texted July 1st-5th-19th 23rd August 1sy 16th 19th thru Sept. 5th. Any attempt to call the phone number just results in the mailbox is full, can't even leave a message. All in all a very poor quality job for the large amount of money . At the very least I would like my issues resolved and the driveway finished properly.

Our Company has went back several times to accommodate the customer. We provided work that was not on contract to do such as drain pipe. We offered to do it for free.

the customer then changed the the original plan on reroute it to the back yard. Which we came back again and dig down deeper to accommodate him.

as far as the finish of the driveway it was done properly and looks good.

the complaint is a quarter size area that he suggested was done by the power washer prior to the final sealing application.
also the customer is not informing you that the public sidewalk is set at the existing height by the city and we cannot degrees it to accommodate what he feels that it needs to be.
the street is lower than the driveway by 3 feet, so the customers driveway is ramped up.

we cannot just make our own elevation to accommodate his needs and throw the elevation off and ramp it down on the city sidewalk. It would be a huge safety concern.

we brought the end of the driveway down a little more than what the existing was  and now he has issues with it.

we have told him several times and now he feels he would like to pile on other issues.

Trying to make this customer happy would be causing safety issues for other pedestrians walking or in a wheelchair in a exceeding degree pitch.

      no way.

I am rejecting this response because:

It is pretty obvious that he did not address my concerns. I did not mention anything pertaining to the grade in my complaint. I did mention the crack and the terrible sealing job. And the end of the driveway not being finished properly at the street. And as far as the drain pipe goes I paid $600.00 dollars for it. After he did the job that he said would work I had rain standing in the downspout above the concrete level. If this was ************* in the winter it probably would freeze and split the pipe. And as far as piling on he never called about the crack , the unfinished area by the street or even looking at all the missed areas in the sealing. I feel for the ****** dollars I paid I think he could at least answer my texts.

The drain was installed twice, he was unhappy with it, so we offered to redo it which he agreed.

we dig it down almost 2 in a half feet more than plenty pitch and drainage leading to a pop up in the yard. Water fills into pipe and pushes out the pop up when it reaches enough pressure. It is doing what it is suppose to do.

as far as sealing, we have internal sealer in the concrete mix, it is a extra additive that we go with on all of our jobs. Its sealed from the inside out. We also pressure washed and sealed the driveway with 2 applications. To say we missed a area is incorrect. Its fully sealed.

leta move to the crack issue. One thing for sure that you can guarantee is concrete cracks. This is normal, please read up on this as you will see. Hairline cracks develop and is normal, can be caused by shrinkage as concrete cures out. If the cracks are wide then there would be a issue and would be referred to a sun-base issue.

lastly  on your complaint, you stated that we did not address your issue and it had nothing to do with the driveway. But yet you say there is an issue by the street. Frankly this is where your whole complaint originates from and youre injecting other complaints to sweeten the story. Let me be *****, the street level is already set to grade by the town, the public sidewalk level is already set by the town. You have a 5 foot apron which gives you no room to change the grade level. The customer insisted that we lower the sidewalk which we cannot, imagine a person in a wheel chair using that sidewalk and say we go with the  customers wishes and lower the sidewalk for his benefit while neglecting the town or someone in a wheel chair or any pedestrian walking. Too many safety issues could arise and if the city sees that I would be ripping it out and putting everything back to where it originally was.

the Customer requested that we widen the width which we did to one side because the other side has a city manhole. That side was the higher side of the property but thats what he wanted.

i am trying to be very profesional and accommodating, but the customer wants me to do changes that cannot be done by changing the city walk.

so he will continue on filing complaint after complaint, give a i factual side to his complaint and look past what is there.

happy at the end of the job, pay you and then a month later complaints pile up.

We have many satisfied customers and sometimes theres nothing you can do or say to satisfy a customer. Its unfortunate at times but we have been very accommodating to this point. The customers refuses to understand and rather have me change what the city sidewalk is set at.

I am rejecting this response because: the top sealer is not done correctly.  We were told by ***** that he would do the top sealer himself because he didn't trust anyone to do it but himself.  There are many many streaks in the concrete because it was done incorrectly.  He has never responded to my texts about this.  On June 28, 2023 I sent him a picture of the horrible sealing job and never received a response. As far as paying for the job ***** came to my door requesting payment for the full amount with the promise that he would be out himself in a couple of days to seal  the ****************.  As usual it took several unanswered texts before he sent one of his crew to do this and it is a horrible job.  We will accept the fact that concrete cracks however this should have been explained to us since we are not in the business.  No we are not the type to consistently complain about jobs done.  We have made many improvements to our home without a single complaint to the other businesses because they did the jobs correctly and answered all of our questions immediately and we were thoroughly satisfied .  As far as the drain goes yes he said he would do it for free. What he failed to tell us that he was going to charge us $600.00 for the pipe which he asked for after the job was completed.  All I want is for him to give me a call and set up a date to reseal the concrete the proper way.  I also want him to actually show up on the date and time we agree upon.  No excuses.   $17,000.00 is not a drop in the bucket for us. Took us along time to save for this.

We had a concrete driveway installed at a cost ********************************************************************* July of this year. The concrete cracked in a couple locations and we called them back. They never responded to our concern. It is now August and they have not resealed the driveway. I have called many times getting either an answering machine or twice a person. I left messages on the service and explained my problem to the person. That person assured me they would get back to me. Now when I call no one picks up nor returns my call.

Had a patio and stairs done in Oct 2022 that we paid ****** for. Noticed in May it was already starting to crack in multiple places. Tried contacting Epic Concrete at many different numbers. I get no reply from anyone. Have barely had for 6 months and it already needs multiple repairs. And Im just being ignored. After coming on this website I notice others have had the same issues with them not standing behind their work. I wish i would have known that before we paid them ******.

July 27th 2021. Epic concrete agreed to tear out existing concrete, haul away and then pour new driveway, sidewalk, front porch and also pour new sidewalk from driveway to back yard with patio and a second porch in back. It was approximately **** Sq. Ft. with two porches. It was done with what was supposed to be desert Tan integral colored concrete with integral sealer as well. After tear out and installation they were to come back when it cured and power wash concrete, apply sealer and clean up work area. During installation I voiced my concerns on a few finishing issues and they guaranteed me that they would be fixed an taken care of and when they were done it would be the correct color and it would pop with vibrancy. When they returned 3 days later the employee damaged the finish of the concrete when power washing and started to apply sealer but did not finish and left. Several days had passed and I reached out to see when they would be returning to fix and finish. I was told that they needed to order repair material and when it came in they would be back. Several weeks turning into months of promises and excuses via text messages were had until the winter season was here. When spring had arrived it was very evident that there was damage to concrete due to it not being sealed properly. I reached out again letting them know that if they didn't take care of it i would start proceedings such as this one to get it taken care of. Again I was given promises to take care of it and then excuses on why it was taking so long and eventually they stopped responding all together. I think the attached pictures tell a pretty clear story. Right now I am left with concrete that is not the right color, it has effloresced, poor finishes, unfinished areas, popping of surface due to not being sealed, damage done by his employee power washing and my house and fence left with stains because they never cleaned them up. I spent alot of had earned money and I need your help please.

I contracted with this company in mid March for an expansion of my back patio. The concrete was poured as soon as weather allowed. The crew arrived and dugout extra lawn because they did not know how big of a pad they were putting in It was hideously unlevel. One portion had a 2 1/2 inch drop over 3 feet. Communication was awful. On more than one occasion I was contacted either the night before or the morning of to say that the crew would be out the next morning only to have no one show up all day and have no contact even after sending text messages in the middle of the afternoon asking for an ETA. Due to the extreme slope that did not follow the patio that was being expanded, the concrete wound up below the natural level of the yard. I asked him to scrape the top of that off as he was going to be out with equipment to repair the damage to the yard caused by going to the back of the property on both sides of the house, some thing I specifically asked him to avoid. I contacted him to ask if the expected rain on the day he was repairing the yard had caused a delay. I was informed there was 15 minutes worth of work remaining seal the back patio and put down the grass seed. The ruts had not been filled in on either side of the house. One half of the yard on one side of the patio was not taken down. The fill put in was sand which would be difficult to grow grass on and would be burned up as soon as the weather turned warm. That was the final day where I contacted him in the morning he told me he was showing up with the crew to fix any issues at 9:30 in the morning. He was once again a no call no show. There were other problems such as the framing being pulled off and left to lay in the yard with nails in it for over a week. A toe print in the fresh concrete. Going on vacation without telling me he was going to be gone or scheduling the crew to work. I had it torn out. It took three workdays over five days to redo everything. It took him 2 1/2 weeks.

The customer had an existing ********************** patio that he wanted to extend 3 feet on 3 sides. The existing patio had already showed signs of sinking and when it rains, it puddles towards the back step.

The customer was informed during the initial visit that his existing needed to be removed to gain back the proper level needed. I understand that everyone has a budget and we work within those budgets.

Customer decided to keep existing patio and pour the addition around it. We had no other choice but to follow the existing for water flow purposes. Once we completed the project, The customer praised us and thanked us, and he also paid us.

If he had a issue at that time, Payment would have been held and the complaint lodged at that time.

We provided customer service, as well as backfilled and brought a load of dirt for him to fix his back yard and yet he complained.

The customer repeatedly asked if we would start his job leading up to the date we started. We informed him that the over night temps must stabilize above freezing. A few times I received some nasty texts from him screaming why we haven't started and made contact with him on why we would not start his project due to the freezing temps and amount of rain we were having. Once the window of opportunity arose, we made our way in and completed our job. He was happy and gave us praise after we completed it.

We have tried and tried to accommodate our customer and he was told at the very beginning to remove the existing patio and bring it back to the proper grade but rejected it. We had this conversation with him prior and now after its completed, 2 weeks later, he is unpleased.
