I was assured they could fix his eye and that they would do everything possible not to lose his eye. His eye has been worse since the surgery. I was told that Animal ******** Clinic overcharges and the surgeon that is doing the surgeries has many unhappy patients. I was told this by 4 people in the animal wellness field. I was told by my vets office to take him here as the recommended surgeon was out on leave and I needed to get him to an eye ophthalmologist and they recommended Animal ******** Clinic as there are only 3 surgeons in the state for animal eye care. I took him knowing this but felt I had no choice as I wanted to save his eye. His eye has become worse since the surgery and went back and gave me 2 more antibiotics to put in his eye 4 times. I sent an email 2/15 explaining my concerns and the vet called to reassure me that they were trying to save his eye-he was exposed to environmental bacteria...... When I got home from work this morning his eye was worse. I sent another email explaining how upset I was (will forward both emails) Today I received a call from the "operations manager" ****** who I Have never seen or spoke to before. He left a voicemail that we should part ways. MY cats eye is not fixed. They are saying they provided a service and its complete. I honestly feel not only have they harmed my cat but they have taken the money and they "are done".

Thank you for the feedback. In your pets case, corneal surgery was recommended since the eye was perforated (there was a hole in the eye). The eye had been this way for a lengthy period of time, as you stated, and in order to remove the scar tissue and create a new graft to seal the perforation, we did discuss that there would be an involved healing process that typically takes four to six weeks. Corneal surgery was successful and routine. Your pet did unfortunately encounter an infection within the cornea, which can occur after this type of procedure due to the nature of cornea being collagen and not having a native blood supply. We addressed the infection by looking at the type of bacteria underneath the microscope and prescribing appropriate antibiotics. In fact, the graft was in place and other than the area of infection, healing was moving forward. However, during the healing process, the eye can look more cloudy, which we did discuss was the case for your pet. We also offered to review photographs since you cancelled the scheduled recheck evaluation to ensure that the infection was resolving. You did not provide photographs or come to recommended follow up appointments. You also sent inflammatory and accusatory emails, insulting our staff as well as doctors. Prior to this, we had been very receptive and responsive to your concerns. Unfortunately, after receiving accusations and aggressively worded emails, we did recommend a different provider.
