I had an issue with the wheel bearings on my car making noise so I took it to Lewis oil in June of 2021, they replaced one side and the noise wasn't fixed. I took the car back to Lewis oil and the replaced the other side wheel bearings, they replaced them without asking for my approval to do so and then called me and told me they did it and the noise was still there. They told me it was a problem with my transmission and I still had to pay over $*** for the repairs that didn't fix my car to begin with. A few months later in October of 2021 I took my same car to a different mechanic with the same problem they replaced my wheel bearings and the problem was fixed. I tried to get my money back from Lewis oil and they told me there was nothing they could do even after bringing them the parts they replaced that were bad. The other mechanic that fixed my car right said the wheel bearings were put on wrong and that's why it didn't fix the problem. Lewis oil only refunded me $*** for parts.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/30) */ First of all the art of automotive diagnosis and repair is comprehensive and challenging at times. I am sorry the customer experienced part failure. We try to diagnose and repair vehicles as fairly and straight forward as humanly possible. At our repair facility we have a 30 day labor warranty and parts are warranted by part suppliers. In this case the warranty for the rotating bearings was 6 months and 12k miles. This particular customer chose not to use my services for warranty or service until after secondary shop service performed. Customer returned on October 26th to try to receive full refund for services rendered in early June without receipt of services. Customer brought two removed wheel bearing hubs one of which had audible noise to merit faulty part and therefore merited a part warranty of $***. Labor guarantee had far exceded store policy and car wasn't returned to our shop to receive labor warranty. When customer returned such parts he immediately expressed vulgarness and profanities to express his discourse. In this case all refund that was merited for the one faulty part was given inspite of the poor behavior of the customer in front of women and other customers. I apologized for any problems or additional cost that was endured by customer and tried to pass on that diagnosis and repair of well aged cars can be troublesome and challenging at times. The note that parts were installed without customers notification is unfortunately false. I wish this customer great luck with there new found service center. Thank you
