I hired ***** ****** x and c construction to do a remodel job on my home in Iola, Ks. I am a single female. I wanted my sliding glass door at my back porch removed and a regular door plus screen door put in. The sliding door is broken. I also needed a window replaced on the same back porch, as some one had thrown a brick through it. ** ****** came by twice in week of the 12th. Aug 2023 to look at it and said he could do it and wanted 4000 down for the job. He brought by a note of the materials he would need and the prices. I sent the check to his address 4000.00. So far he hasn't shown up to do the job. All he has done is bring by the 1 door, 10 (2x4x8s) 3 osb boards, 10 (12 in by 16) ft siding boards. I have asked for the receipt several times and never got them, I have also not received the window, sheet rock, screen door, 1 more OSB board and the insulation. He wrote he was purchasing these materials out of the 4000. I want the materials I paid for and the money left over that wasn't used to for materials. No work has been done. You will see 500 and 200 dollars on the materials sheet and none of it was done. I have been robbed in my honest opinion and live on SS. Please help me.
