My son was working in Dodge city and had a terrible accident. He needed to cancel his membership since he was ran over by a truck and will take months or rehab at over three hours away from the club. We called at least 30 times daily, called corporate where we were told they would cancel his membership where we are still being charged. We have called after the third month and can’t get anyone to return a call at all. They never cancelled the membership and can’t get anyone to help us.Initial Complaint

My wife and I have been trying to cancel our membership at this gym since the beginning of January 2024. We had been told that we would not be getting billed for any months after January. We turned in our keys to enter the building. My wife received a bill from the gym in February. I went and talked with the manager and he said that he would get our membership canceled. In March my wife received another bill. I went back to the manager and he said “that there was a problem with the regional office,” and that “ he couldn’t get it cancelled, but that he would call.” My wife alerted her bank to stop payment on all future charges from Anytime Fitness. We received a bill on April 15 for our “past due” charges. Remember, we had turned in our keys months ago. I went to the Anytime Fitness website to cancel membership, and the website stated that “ they do not cancel memberships and that it is up to the regional clubs.” I called the toll free number on the bill and talked with a representative who said that “they are unable to cancel the membership over the phone, but would forward the request to the club.”
