July 27, 2023 -I hired *** ******** *** ******** ******** *** *** ** ******** ******** **** to do rough-in plumbing as we were finishing our basement. This included plumbing for the wet bar, toilet, shower and lavatory including vents. -*** failed to install a p-trap under the shower drain. Upon completion of bathroom including tile shower and tile floor, there was a whooshing sound when flushing the toilet like there was not ventilation. The area was NOT properly ventilated, which I spent money to hire a plumber to complete ventilation because *** would not return calls or texts. Upon completion of ventilating the area, there was still a whooshing sound coming from the shower drain when flushing the toilet. There was no standing water in the drain, which with a p-trap there would be to prevent sewer gas from coming up. After expressing concern of this to *** again, he said he would come by and never did. After multiple calls and texts, I received two professional consultations and both confirmed *** failed to install a p-trap. I even called *** from my wife's phone and he answered within two rings and said he would call me back in 30 minutes and never did. -As of this week, we hired a professional company to remove portions of the shower wall tile and the shower pan to find there is indeed no p-trap. I have documented everything with photos and videos of before and after. With no p-trap, this allows harmful sewer gases to come up. Upon reading a few reviews of ***, this is a common theme to have faulty workmanship and never show up to fix it, essentially ghosting his clients. -Now that I have full proof and documentation, I will be filing a small claims lawsuit at the ******* ****** ***********  -There is a recent review of ***'s business on BBB and it is in-line with my experience. I want to make sure no other person falls victim to ***'s poor workmanship and business handlings.
