We have continued to have issues with our master bathroom and unfortunately, we had to bring someone else out to look at it. The new contractor advised there were several red flags with the previous work: 1. The shower floor moved when stepped upon, causing the grout on the floor to crack, and come out. 2. There are 2 holes in the subfloor that were never patched. 3. The tile was laid directly on the subfloor with no water barrier which also caused us to have gnats and SIGNIFICANT mold in our bathroom. 4. The tile didn’t go all the way down to the shower pan. It was filled in with large amounts of grout which never properly cured. 5. The handle to the water faucet would come out of the wall due to it not being secured. 6. The shower pan was determined to be a major cause of the leak due to not being installed correctly and lack of waterproofing. 7. The shower niche was also leaking due to improper installation and lack of waterproofing. 8. Closet and bathroom floor tile was cracking due to no underlayment and leveling. 9. The shower head had caused part of the leaking and you had promised to come back to replace the shower arm extension to match the rest of the hardware. 10. No waterproofing barrier was installed, which caused SIGNIFICANT mold on the subfloor. We contacted you several times regarding our bathroom leaking, and these issues were never fully resolved. Some of the steps taken helped but didn’t resolve the issue. Due to this review, it determined we need to redo our bathroom. Once the tile was removed and the shower was torn out, it was discovered we have large amounts of mold due to improper waterproofing. As anyone would, we have major concerns with mold growing in our house. At this point, it has been recommended to us to file a lawsuit, but we would like to discuss and handle outside of a lawsuit. Our bid to get all this fixed was over 10k plus new tile and waterproofing of $2,700.00. Our expectations would be for us to recoup most of our money we lost due to all the issues and having to redo our bathroom. Please see the attached pictures and let us know when you can meet.
