My 4 year old son, **** *******, has been attending The Growing Place since February 7th, 2022. He had just turned 3. After months of contacting the staff of ****** depleting unusual behavior and had little to no negative responses from this childcare place, I now know they were signs of emotional and physical abuse. **** was a victim on several occasions early on with the staff and his peers in October 2022 and then daily while attending The Growing Place. The Kansas Department of Child services had went to The Growing Place twice with zero formal knowledge of the interview of my minor child and false indications toward me, his mother, went unsubstantiated. I have proof of the false unsubstantiated cases and the accusations were a personal attack on me. The staff uses ******* systems as a formal way to communicate with the parents via email or using the app. I am no longer able to access emails between **** ********** and I. I can only see her response and none of my replies. I ended up pulling **** from The Growing Place on Thursday June 8th, 2023 after a new employee said some disturbing remarks about **** after only working there 2 days. Also, I was never informed of her allegations towards **** even though I ruthlessly demanded answers. The Growing Place also contacted an estranged family member when not listed as an emergency contact.

I sent ****** teacher a text February 2nd and then again June 6th (pointing out I have communicated prior to infimorning me when **** is disciplined)

Also, the email from **** after having a meeting with her and ***** telling them not to put **** in new classroom.

I'm still locked out of ******* and I have 30 days per policy

      $18,000 refund

**** still hasn't sent me the replies in our emails. Also, ***** showed up to my place of employment.

**** ******* did start February 7th, 2022. First time ****** contacted us about ****** behavior was February 2nd 2023, blaming her niece and nephew for this new developing behavior. We told ****** our protocol and what we like to do to help our struggling children but made it very clear children are not bad or terrible they are still learning their emotions, behaviors, and problem solving skills. As for **** being a victim by staff on several occasions back in October 2022, we are questioning why nothing was not brought to anyone's attention until 8 months later. These allegations of emotional and physical abuse only started after she pulled **** and got upset with us. When DCF came to the daycare to talk to **** we had no information or knowledge as to why they were here or who called them. We can't deny them talking to a child and with us not knowing they were false accusations we had our hands tied when it came to contacting ****** and letting her know. We try to use our ******* Program as our main form of communication. On June 8, 2023 ****** withdrew **** from our child facility and she was removed from our ******* Program due to privacy reasons. We are more than happy to provide all the messages from the ******* app. Documentation will be attached. Along with all the texts sent to and received from ****** to multiple staff members. As well as all the ******** posts ****** has posted that we have chosen not to respond to. On January 25, 2023 we tried contacting ****** and ***** (****** nanny at the time) multiple times because it was past 6 o’clock, which is when we close, and could not get ahold of either one of them. We pulled up ****** file and called ***** *** from his emergency contact list. Information we have that ****** filed out and she never informed us he was an “estranged family member.” Documentation will be attached. On June 30, 2023 Janie Works, owner of The Growing Place, drove to ******** workplace to return ****** stuff that was left here at the daycare that we believed she was not going to come and collect. June 5, 2023 we received a “thank you” card in the mail addressed to ***** and ***** from ****** that stated “*****- Thank you so much for driving all the way here just to give me these distasteful roses that were left over from a funeral & your **** poor backhanded apology. You & ***** can go **** YOURSELVES because I guarantee no one else wants to. P.S. Tell Ms ***** she’s a dumb ****.” Documentation will be attached.
