I checked into the hotel when I was back in town visiting family *** ** * ***** ** *** ******. When I checked in, the room was incredibly dirty. Stains on the sheets, dirty towels on the floor of the bathroom, the power outlets did not work in the room. There were people in the halls having verbal disputes and it just felt extremely unsafe and unsanitary. I tried to call the front desk to get assistance with the issues but no one picked up. I walked to the front desk to try to discuss and no one was there. As I walked back to my room without any assistance I saw coffee cups on the floor, stains everywhere and just an overall unsanitary environment that smelled like smoke through the halls. I did not want to stay in this disgusting room so I ended up leaving and didn’t stay the night. Left about 20 minutes after arriving. I tried to call the Wyandam Hotels Customer Support line (the company that owns the Super 8 Hotels). They told me I would have to handle it with the hotel directly. They opened a claim with me and I tried to contact the hotel with no luck. Then I received a phone call from the hotel manager who was **** **** *** yelling on the phone and denied all of my claims. She even said that I had stayed at the hotel that night even though I had not. She said she would check cameras and be back in touch. I never heard back. So I called support again. They said the hotel told them they had been reaching out to me but I never received any calls. Support told me to contact the hotel myself again. I don’t know why I am the one doing supports job and contacting their hotel. But I called the hotel again. This time I spoke to a representative who yelled at me and denied all claims. Cussed me out on the phone. And hung up on me. I tried calling support one last time and they still said they can’t help and that I need to contact the hotel directly. Wyandam is clearly not inspecting hotels or assisting customers and the hotel itself is **** and *** *******.
