I had a great experience buying from them. However the problem is I got an extended warranty....was told when I got it that it covered oil changes as well. When I went in with the papers to schedule an oil change I was then told no warranty like that exists and that I could do the oil changes myself. So I did. Now my vehicle is having an issue and it should be covered by the warranty but it's not. Since I don't have written records of the oil changes I have to pay for it to be fixed! So the warranty I purchased basically was for nothing since they turned around and told me something different, basically lying to me and costing me even more money, that I honestly don't have. I have been asked by many people where I got my vehicle and how the experience was and I can tell you now....DON'T GO THERE! DON'T TRUST THEM!Lawrence Kia Response

Jessica, I'm sorry you are having trouble with your service contract. The service contracts offered to you at the time of sale are insurance products underwritten by a third-party company. These insurance products have terms and conditions like any other insurance product. The copy of the contract you received at the time of purchase lays out those terms and conditions. Unfortunately, we at Lawrence Kia don't have the ability to make discretionary changes to these T&C. If you are able to provide any kind of records for routine maintenance, we are happy to advocate for you to try and get coverage for the needed repairs.Review from LK C

I was performing car searches. One was with Lawrence Kia with Dream Automotive on Sunday, 6/16/24. On Monday, 6/17/24 at 9:36, I receive a text from an Angela asking if I was ready to test drive. At 6:29 that same day, stating, "This is my second time attempting you today and I am not even sure if I can help at this point. I would need to know more about what you're looking for. Would you be opposed....to chatting with me about that?" On 6/20/24 at 6:42 PM, "Hello! How long have you been shopping for a vehicle?"-Mackenzie, Lawrence Kia". Today, 6/21/24 at 2:06 PM, I receive, "This is my last attempt to reach you in regard to your inquiry before I turn your file over to our sales staff. If you are still interested in talking with me about possible vehicle solutions feel free to email, text, or call me. One last time, this is Angela Romero, Certified New Car Advisor, from Lawrence Kia with Dream Automotive." When my response was "Perfect!" and I suggested they revamp their text messaging and that now I would never do business with them, their response was, "I am sorry you feel that way...I appreciate you taking the time to finally respond to my messages. I wish you all the best of luck in your vehicle search. Hope you have the day you deserve!" If those are their sales people, they need professional training, sales training, and customer relations training. I received numerous responses to my searches. This is the only dealership so incredibly nasty. They got my attention....but probably not the kind of attention they want. I have shared this with everyone.Lawrence Kia Response

Hello Lisa, we truly apologize for the experience that you had with us. It was not our intention to upset you with our text messages in trying to reach you, originally. We understand that messages can be misinterpreted. It is a challenge that we face frequently. How do we get the right attention and keep it? That is the question we ask ourselves on a daily basis. However, the response to you after you made your opinion known is absolutely unprofessional and we are truly embarrassed that this is how our representative responded to you. This is not how we conduct our business and please know that we will be training and readjusting. We truly appreciate your feedback, please let us know if there is anything we can do to reconcile ourselves in your business. We hate to see a customer that has purchased with us before, be left with such a terrible taste. Thank you again.Review from Riley E

Service department is not honest when when you call to get updates on your vehicle. They had my van for 2 months to fix a blown head gasket. The last month that it was there I would call to get an update and they would tell me it’s almost done. Come to find out the technician hadn’t even started putting it back together. I finally told them they had the rest of the week to get it finished. Had my van back and drove it for one whole day and I walk out to puddles of oil under my van. Upon further investigation bolts are missing or not screwed in all the way. My van never leaked oil before it went in there.Lawrence Kia Response

We have towed the vehicle back to the dealership to recheck and evaluate the repairs and correct the issues.Review from Chandra B

This dealer is doing fraud business. These guys are taking money from the customer to reserve a vehicle. Once the vehicle arrives, they are selling to some other customer. There was no notification or curtesy call or apology email to the customer who reserved the vehicle instead these guys are rude to customer inquiries. Never buy a car from this dealer. Rita and Shane are worst sales managers and don’t fall into their trap of reserving a vehicle.Review from Benjamin A

I totaled my car on Saturday. Insurance was progressing and would be paid out in a couple of days. We decided to take a look and see what we liked. I bought my previous car (Kia K5 GT-line) and had a good experience. They rushed to do the paperwork that day knowing I wouldn't have the insurance payout for up to a week. The finance guy rushed to get everything signed, but I never signed the final contract. However, I reached out by phone 4 days ago to find out if the front windows were tinted and if there was a cargo cover included. I sent an email 3 days back. No response, 2 days back I get a response: I will check on it and call you in a few mins. 3 hours later I called the dealership. The sales agent is unavailable. Sent a follow-up email 1 day back, no response. Called as of today, the sales agent is still unavailable. Seems to be back to the old version they don't have time for anything unless you are paying that day. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a good experience if you want speed at the exclusion of everything else. Then they would be good, but I caution you to check exactly what they are doing. They will try to sneak things past you.Review from David P

Went there with the intention to buy a first car for a teen. Salesman was helpful finding the vehicle but could not give us a price. He stated that the dealership does not go by MSRP or the sticker price. Instead they go off of average market price (my first time hearing that ever). Decided to apply for financing and they ran credit with multiple banks without showing a price for the car. Salesman stated that the price of the car would be shown to us once a bank agreed to finance it? Never ever have I had a dealership apply for financing before showing the actual price of car. To make it more confusing, the dealership stated there was not enough equity in the car. A brand new car?!? From what we could gather from the salesman, the dealership was adding $5-$10k on to the price of the car. Would not return to this dealership or recommend to others.Lawrence Kia Response

David, Thank you for your review. We apologize you feel that way; after reviewing your profile, it looks like you and your daughter came in with a pre-approval letter from Global Lending. Unfortunately, that pre-approval would not work with the approval stipulations of 20% down. We got a credit application from you trying to find a better way to go. We did get approval, but they were still requiring a larger down payment that did not fit what you were trying to accomplish. We did show you the window sticker of the vehicle, but due to bank approvals, we were unable to make a deal with you and your family. When we use subprime banks, they like to have a low loan-to-value which is why your salesperson stated you would need equity in the vehicle to get a better approval. Please let us know if you are able to get a cosigner; that will help with getting a better approval. We would love to add you and your family to our family here at Lawrence Kia. Thank you.Review from Daniel C.

I would proceed with caution when buying from Lawrence Kia. Our salesmen was new, (everyone has to start at sometime) he had very little knowledge about cars. The 2015 Kia Forte we were looking at had a "this vehicle is not for sale" sticker in the front window. I asked has the vehicle been though service, I am in need of a car today as my engine blew that morning and drive ALOT for work. He stated "yes it's ready to go or it would not be on our website and on the lot for sale". We proceeded inside to work a deal after signing for the car the manager told me I wasn't able to take the car home cause it needed to go through service! The manager ensured me is only takes 5-7 days, the salesmen said that their team is good and typically only takes 2-3 days. We left and called 4 days later for an update an got told it just got to service will be 7-10 days more. I wasn't happy but the service guy was honest, he had to wait on parts and would work as fast as he could, the salesmen later emails me stating he informed me it would be 7-10 business days. (this was a lie) I now was not happy about being lied to. The manager took over communication with me. It has now been 7 days and was informed that the parts are still 3 days out. I have to take time off work cause I do not have a vehicle to drive. I sure hope your experience with them is better but I wish I would have never even went to there car lot.Lawrence Kia Response
