We stayed in this hotel for a softball tournament from June ***** 2024 and the A/C did not work and no one from the hotel tried to fix or do anything about it. I took the ac filter out and it was so nasty and hadn’t been changed since 2023. Now one of my kids is sick and I think this is a contributing factor to the poor A/C and breathing dirty air. We were offered a different room which was not cool either but it was better than the first room. All in all neither of the rooms air conditioning worked and we don’t feel like we should be charged the full amount.Business response

We understand the guest had a bad stay we refunded the guest 234.68 dollars; we also switched him rooms guest chose to stay therefore no full refund. The guest was originally charged 469.36 dollars. I have attached the folio for you, thanks *****.Initial Complaint

We were in Kansas City October 14th for about 3 days and my son lost his IPhone before we left. We searched for it everywhere and alerted the hotel to search for it as well. They lied and told us they couldn’t find it. About 2 weeks ago we got a call from a guy that said one of the maids sold him the phone and that he would return it through mail but never did. So my son doesn’t have a phone and he has special needs and needs his phone when he’s at school or with friends and grandparents. I want the money back we paid for it or I’m going to have criminal charges brought against the hotel because they lied then turned around and sold it.Business response

Called guest multiple times left a voicemail on 12/5 10:45am waiting on response. Based off name couldn't find there stay. Looked up Commnication and lost and found logs and had no I phones were found or turned in the front desk or housekeeping. We would need more info, besides that hotel is not responsible for lost items.Customer response

My husband’s name and the dates the room was rented. As I stated before my husband asked the manager to look for it after we couldn’t find it the fact is no one besides me and my husband actively looked for the phone and had to put up with rude staff all weekend. It’s your responsibility to at least try and accommodate customers by alerting staff to turn in lost items especially when we asked for help to find it.

We have checked lost and found, no phone was reported or found. We do have a policy for lost and found and we have kept an eye out for the phone. we have had no luck locating it, we at the end of the day not responsible for anything lost.
