      I hired Beltmann, a local operator of ***** ******** *** *****, to move my family’s household goods from Liberty, MO to Phoenix, AZ. I have made many long distance moves, and this is the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with movers. The reviews were great, but I’m now certain the positive reviews of this company are either shills or just written by Beltmann employees. The estimate went very smoothly, much more so than an estimate I got from a different company. That made me feel good about hiring this Beltmann. Was I ever wrong. The crew showed up on loading day, a couple of them reeking of marijuana. That’s the same as showing up for work drunk. I was out of time and couldn’t start over with another company without blowing my closing date. The movers were not careful with anything as they loaded the truck, items were banged in to the walls of the house, dropped etc. The real trouble came when the truck was unloaded at our house in Arizona. Smashed box after smashed box were unloaded. The most heavily damaged boxes were the ones with “fragile” stickers all over them. My wife’s heirloom furniture was nearly all damaged or destroyed, including an Edwardian library bookshelf, which was smashed to pieces. Her antique office chair was broken at the base, this will require a custom furniture maker to create a new base. Antique coffee table top was broken. Edwardian loveseat damaged. NEW dryer was stomped or jumped on, which destroyed it. Same with the washer. At least one of Beltmann’s crooks heavily damaged my two steel office safes by repeatedly striking them with my 30 pound kettlebell. I have extensive photo evidence. I filed a claim with ***** ******** *** ***** on 9/17/23 and have not received any reply. I am running out of room here, please email or call so I can provide a full account of what transpired.

      Beltmann Group Lenexa Ks acted as the booking agent for this move.  This customer actually booked with ***** ******** *** ***** on a NAVL Contract.  This move was hauled by a fleet driver not a Beltmann Relocation Group Lenexa truck.  I have personally spoken with this customer ans apologized that he did not receive great service on this move.  We advised him of the claims process and sent him the links to get it underway.  As the booker of this move we are glad to act as an advocate for this customer during the claims process.  I have not heard anything in from this customer on a stall in the claims process.  We are glad to hop in and try and get the ball rolling on the ***** ******** *** ***** side.  To date we have never refused to help and always have taken Mr. ********* calls.  We will call ***** ******** *** ****s and reach back to the customer on next steps.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Good afternoon,
      I have reached a settlement with *****, the parent company of ***** ******** *** *****. Sirva has paid for repair of some of our antique furniture, and paid for what was irreparably damaged by Beltmann’s people. 

      Due to the settlement, I am not going to devote any more time to this case. I am ready to be done with Beltmann’s back and forth denial of responsibility.I want to make it perfectly clear that Beltmann did not assist in any way, and denied any and all responsibility for the actions of the people they brought in to my home, who intentionally damaged and/or destroyed my family’s property. 

      I stand by my original complaint, and all evidence provided. Anyone considering this company for their move would do well to read the reviews, and consider other options.

      I thank the BBB for their assistance in this matter. Without the BBB, this would likely have gone to court. BBB, please feel free to close this case with my gratitude. I will not select the “accept business response” option due to the reasons given.

      As stated we are willing to help in any way possible.  I am pleased that the customer completed the claims process as per his contract with ***** ******** *** *****.  If the customer would like any further reaction on our part we would need communication from him.  He accepted the claim so that would mean he accepted the resolution on the damages.  Please let us know if there are any more requirements on our end to make sure that this is noted resolved.  I have left messages as per my previous response with my personal cell and still no contact from the customer.
