      We started a contract with Nomo Pest Control. From the beginning we had problems with scheduling, technicians would no show, cancel, or reschedule without contacting us. Once they did show up, the service was poor. We contacted them multiple times with photos to show that the service was not working and the insects remained. Following a series of ignored contact attempts, we requested to cancel our contract with them due to a blatant lack of consideration for customers and breach of contract on their end. This was met with hostility with a "supervisor" who answered a phone at their reception area. She told us at that time she would cancel our contract before hanging up on us. We were unable to get that statement in writing despite multiple attempts. We did have contact with another manager who stated they'd not charge us further until we were satisfied and we would have continued service. Following that the first service they no-showed, the second service they cancelled due to technician illness and were unable to reschedule until another time. They never rescheduled. In December we requests via phone call to terminate the contract without the cancelation fee as we attempted to resolve without any effort on Nomo's end. We were told this would go into review. 3 months later they send an email saying we owe the fee + $10 in a late fee. We contacted advising we hadn't heard back, they stated someone would contact us. Following a week with no contact, we again had to reach out, and were then told they did close our account but the cancelation fee and late fee were still due and they would not waive that. Anytime we ask to speak to a supervisor or escalate within Nomo, we are met with a brick wall. We're filing this report in hopes of help settling this dispute to cancel the contract without penalty/cancelation fee.

      Nomo feels justified in finishing due to the facts we gave a massive discount for the commitment, and we come back for free of there are problems.

      The business has not provided the service agreed to even after I have made contact and have video proof asking for the service. They still charge me (a higher amount than agreed and refuse to cancel my account without an additional charge of $200.) I don’t see how they can get away with charging people for doing nothing and refusing to cancel without charging you more money. This is the worst scam and I don’t want others to be tricked and trapped the way that I have been.

      There have been four services completed at this address. We have GPS trackers and service reports that confirm where the service was done, what products were used, and where they were applied. We are happy to send that over, if wanted. In addition, we do offer free reservices to help the customer feel satisfied with the service. This way, we can come out again at a time when the customer will be there in person to witness the service at the time of the service.       I am not satisfied with NoMo Pest control, yellow jackets are worse since they started treatment. I am a senior and cant afford to continue paying monthly for treatments that have not worked. In fact my pest problem is worse! I refuse to pay any more payments and they have threatened to charge me late charges! Wish I had read reviews before!

We deserve to be paid for the work we do. We have had great success with many thousands of customers. Sometimes it takes an extra treatment to get certain pests under control.       May 23 a **** ******** came to my door about nomo pest solutions. The service was to be for 12 and pay every other month. That is what I was told. The service is every other month I have discovered. They were not here very long their last service either. I have not seen any decrease in big activity in any way. They said they. Over mosquitos and wasps but I have wasps on my deck and mosquitos still bite the heck out of me. I have had pest control service before from a reputable company and they do inside and outside the house to cover pests. Some pest need additional chemicals. I do believe this company sells a service and is paid but they do not provide the service they claim.

      We are sorry for any misunderstandings  with the agreement terms. This customer was explained the service amount and the service dates we come out. We have a recorded welcome call that was sent to the customer where she verbally agreed to the bulling terms. We have 3 forms of communication to make sure we are all on the same page.       I am rejecting this response because:this company does not have good business practices. The dates provided were for billing but was supposed to be a monthly service.   This company does not provide the service it states. I still have ants, I still have wasps and I still have mosquitoes which their service w stated specifically they would get rid of.   The ants are right outside my house and got all over me while doing yard work. We still have had spiders including brown recluse. My dogs also have fleas which we have never had the 4 years we have been here.  This company DOES NOT provide the service even their contract says. Fleas- wasps spiders and several ant species are stated in the contract they were to target yet i have seen no change

      I have had service at another place not local to here and never had any of these issues with their monthly service.

      There was someone here on aug 14 to do my yard from nomo. He said he saw the ants on my house.  He said that their treatments lasts 3 months but it had been 2 months since they were there last.  He said it should take 2 weeks for the chemical to kick in but I asked him if it lasts 3 months and my last service was 2 months then it should not take 2 weeks.  I should not have an issue if it lasts months. 
      he went around the house but not directly into my back yard. I was home and there is access.  I still have ants in my front and back yard and they were on my deck.  Their chemicals do absolutely nothing.  

      I do not think the person in June did anything as he was not caught by my camera.  I can always tell when my lawn guy is here because I get a notification.  Even the guy here on aug 14!was caught on my camera.

      We signed a contract with Nomo Pest Control right about 2 months ago. In our contract they told us they would treat our yard for mosquitoes and moles, and if we had any issues or seen activity, they would come back out to retreat. The very first treatment they came out they didn't even treat our yard for mosquitoes and I emailed them about it right after and they said they would send someone out to retreat. In the 2 months that we have had their services I have yet to see them treat our yard as they promised to do. Most of the time there has been someone at our house to watch them treat. One of the times we were not home I have them on video spraying the front of my yard barely even for a min...did not treat for mosquitoes or moles and did not touch the back or sides at all before they got back in their vehicle where they sat for about 10 minutes before driving off not treating our yard properly. I have called and emailed multiple times and finally I told them I want to cancel because they have yet to hold up to their side of the contract. They are telling us we have to pay the $200 cancellation fee and we are arguing with them that we should not have to pay that because they never provided the service they promised us, because if they did, we wouldn't be canceling. I have no issues paying for a service we are getting, but they are not providing us with the service they promised. I just want my $100 back they already charged us and they can keep the initial fee they charged of $79. I just don't understand how they can argue with us when they know they have not been treating us for mosquitoes. When I signed up, I told then that was the only reason I signed up to begin with.       We checked all service records and it does show that we did treat the yard. I am wondering if there is some sort of miscommunication because we always offer our free return visits if service didn't reach customers expectations. We always strive to not just meet expectations, but exceed them. We are so sorry that we may have fell short of that. We do always honor our free return visit policy. There are some products that do require a 10 day period where we have to wait that length of time to re-apply that product. Rather than cancelling, please give us the opportunity to make things right and give you the service you deserve. Thank you.

      Only way to resolve this and make us happy is to drop the cancellation fees/charges and just accept the $179 we have already paid as the cancellation fee since we didn't get the services we requested. If you will just drop everything and leave it be that will help this be resolved without us having to file with the attorney generals next. I am trying to work with you guys here but you are making it very difficult to do. I have called and spoke to you guys many times and there has been no satisfaction at this point it is best to just part ways. You guys have already been paid almost $200 from us and it should be more than adequate to satisfy the cancellation fees.

      I have complained about wasps ants and moles the whole year I had service. I continuously asked to cancel they kept saying they would retreat. Only saw the truck in front of my neighbors house and nobody ever got out or treated my yard. When I would call they would say we’ve had this complaint before we’ll send another technician. I’ve never had such a bad experience all the way around. From them selling it to me telling me I could cancel at any time. To the customer service rep.

      June 1st a sales agent came to my residence lied to me and told me that 1) Nomo is just a small, local family business, 2) my next door neighbors also signed up for this service. I signed up because my next door neighbors help me take care of my yard and if they had signed up, they would've advised me to do the same. I entered into the "contract" under false pretense and false advertising, but am not only able to exit if I pay $200. The contract was void upon signing and was based off of incorrect information.

      We are so sorry. We strive to make the sales process to go very easy and smooth for the consumer. We will need to follow the signed service agreement and the recorded welcome call. We aren't sure how we can verify either way what the sales rep said. We train everyone to be honest in their dealings. You are free to cancel the agreement but just like in the signed agreement and recorded welcome call you agreed to pay the discount given. We are unable to do a 1 time $50 treatment that costs us so much more than that. Please review the agreement and give us a call. Thank you.

      Nomo showed up to my door with a sales person. The sales person told me about the service. “Full yard coverage” with granular spread, spray around the foundation and knockdown for spiders and wasps. During the conversation I asked if they were licensed in the city. The sales person said yes and the office takes care of it. The tech came out the next day to start the “service”. The first service was on the weekend. I was not home for the first 4 minutes of the service. From my video the the tech supposedly completed my entire back yard. He spent the remainder of the time in the front and side. He did one line in my front yard with the granular spread. I live on 3/4 of an acre. My back yard is bigger than my front. Tech left with the job not completed. I then sent an email to nomo alerting them the tech had not done what was told to me per the contract. They said they would send a tech back out. After several emails, excuses and how great and efficient their techs are they sent the tech back out. The tech never went into the back. I then sent an email notification to them it was still not complete. Several more emails back and forth. They informed me they could send another tech back out Monday - Friday 8-4. I told them I would need to have them back out on the weekend or weekday after 6. They told me they don’t work on the weekends. Even though they did my first service. I asked them for the license to work in the city of Belton. They provided a license for the state of Kansas and Missouri but not for Belton. I contacted the city of Belton and found out they are not registered to do business in the city (required). I then told them they lied and misinformed me. I told them they voided the contract. I then get an email stating they closed my account. I put a hold on charges. I then get charged for them canceling my account. My bank said they used a different name. Yard still not done, 44 emails, videos of the work not done and charged for cancellation.

      Many cities differ from how they require licensing to do service. Many just require us to have a state license and we obviously are licensed through the department of agriculture. Many cities require the business license for brick and mortar shops that have an actual physical location. If that isn't the case with Belton we can easily obtain that license.  Thanks for reaching out. This wouldn't void the contract, this would be considered a non negligent error and can be easily fixed. According to the state and Department of Agriculture who we report to we are legal.       Deserve to be paid? The work was never completed. I did not stop payment on the initial because I don’t think that would be fair because at least something was done. I am a fair person.  But you mention the employees are independent contractors? Funny part is the person who visited my door claimed to be the owners brother in law. That person should know tall about the company you would hope. So when the owners brother in law tells me they are registered I would expect to take that as truth. But now you are threatening me with collections all because you want money for something that was lied to me and then never followed through with.  On top of that you all closed my account and charged me money. I can only thing a company out to commit fraud / scam people would promise something and then try and cheat people out of more.

      All we have is the service agreement and the recorded welcome call. We have our business registered through the department of commerce and have all of our proper licensing in your area. As far as the city license it wouldn't void your contract. We are happy to talk to anyone from the city. Many cities in the area do not require a business license for the particular city. Again we are always wanting to do what is right with licensing. The bill from work performed and professional products laid would be sent to a bad debt collections agency if it goes unpaid.

      When canceling service after a move for the military, the company refused to cancel their contract and wanted to charge late fees and threaten collections. Their sales people who are only hired for the summer lied stating you can cancel without a cancellation fee if it’s a military move. After contacting the company they stated they are not responsible for what their sales people promise. I need them to cancel the contract as they promised without a cancellation fee per the federal SCRA law.

      We do cancel without any cancellation fee but we do however require all payments for services to be paid on full. 

      If you cancel before the year is up we just ask that the discount that was offered is paid per the agreement.  So the customer would just need to pay for the first service in full is all. This follows the law. We are unable to cancel and lose money on the service provided which is why we ask for the discount back. 

      Please give us a call and we can explain and show you the law and we can go over the agreement. 

      We deserve to be paid for the work we completed. Thank you.
