On August 28th I got approved for a vehicle by ********************** for $**** down for a 2012 ***********. I was excited to finally have a stable ride to work and nice reliable car. After looking more into the car after purchasing it. I noticed it was completely rusted from top to bottom and appeared to have been in a flood. After having the car for less than 48 hours and getting advice from family I decided before I run into problems I should try and get another car. My easiest bet was to get another car from the same dealer. I went back to the bank and got approved for a bit more expensive vehicle a 2013 Ford Escape. It was much more clean no rust and seemed more promising than the last. Oh boy was I in for a treat. After spending all day at the bank getting a new loan I went to the Dealership to give them the check for the difference and pick up my new car! As soon as I drive the car off the lot I notice my first issue with the car. I turn it on and it says "Engine at Fault" my heart sinks I've spent 3 days buying a car from this dealership I have a horrible past with them in the first place. I take the car to get some gas cause it was extremely low after just purchasing thinking that might help. Only thing I think to do next is call my dad for advice he does re search, I do re search. It seems to be a maybe fix so for 2 weeks we try replacing little parts in could be and finally come to the agreement that it could be worse. Every car has it's issues right. I just had to restart the car 3 or 4 times and the check engine light would turn off and the car would run normal for about 20 miles or so. Next thing I know I have to drive the car in shifts because it would start to turn off after driving for a while then be running okay. Come to find out I just bought a car with a destroyed transmission. I need help ********* and am tired of being walked all over and taken advantage of by this new car dealership I want to prevent it from happening to anybody else!!!!!!!!!

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/08) */ I sold this customer a car and she got a loan from the bank to pay for it. She didn't get a loan for quite the full amount and still owed me $*** for the car after the loan. I told her she could pay me when she got the money. I never received the $***. I reached out about 2 weeks later asking when she thought she could pay. I called and text and received no response. I reached out again via call and text about a month after she purchased the vehicle. She didn't answer my call but responded to my text saying she would be in next week to pay. I called and text her the next week about coming to pick up her title. She didn't answer. I called her another 2 or 3 times in the second month about picking up the title and the $***. She never responded. Around November 1, I received a phone call from her dad who was unsure what was going on. He had received a letter from the bank about payments needing to be made and called me not knowing anything about it. He said he was going to call the bank about payments and get it handled and apologized. He asked about me about the title also. I let him know I had it, I had reached out to her about getting it on a few occasions and that she hadn't been in to pick it up yet. About a month later, I then receive a call from the bank saying that they had repossesed the vehicle for no payment and asked me if I knew anything about it. I did not. They said she never made a payment and that the customer said the vehicle broke down 3 weeks ago. This was the first I knew about the vehicle having any problems. I offer a warranty on my vehicles for so many days/so many miles. I tell all of my customers to call me if they are having any issues. If it's after the warranty expires, I still go above and beyond to make sure they are taken care of with my mechanics. I would have helped this customer but was never informed of any issues going on.
