      We bought a 2019 Ford Edge before Christmas. A month ago, ***** was backed into, messing up the driver's side door - imagine our surprise when the body shop found preexisting frame damage. Upon looking up the VIN number on google, it is quite clear it was in a significant accident impacting the front end as the photos and sale of this vehicle are available online. Obviously there was only a cosmetic repair attempted - poorly glued together as well - implying a fully repaired vehicle. Not only is this hugely concerning that this vehicle was passed off as safe, we were not made aware of the condition. This then is a fraudulent sale. It was not repaired to standards. We also are concerned about other vehicles that are being sold to other unsuspecting consumers.

      Thank you again for bringing this issue to our attention. Let us reiterate, we are truly sorry this situation has arisen and for the inconvenience you have experienced as a result. Please rest assured, we will continue working with you to achieve the best possible result; however, since you have filed this complaint, we must provide some additional information.

      We acquired the vehicle at issue in April 2022, from *** ****** **** *******. When purchased, the Carfax information indicated the vehicle had been in an accident, but the description and appearance matched the information we obtained. All documents indicated cosmetic damage. Because of this, we did not believe any additional inspections or repairs were necessary.

      When the vehicle was sold to you in December of 2022, the cosmetic issues were disclosed to you in person and the Carfax information was also provided. When shopping, you had an opportunity to have the vehicle inspected, but we do not have any records to indicate whether you did so. Nevertheless, when you purchased the vehicle from us, we provided you with all of the information we had on the vehicle.

      Since your accident, you have contacted us in an attempt to return the vehicle, claiming we “fraudulently” sold it to you. Unfortunately, that’s simply not true. Had we known of these issues, we would not have purchased the vehicle, let alone resold it. Moreover, had you consulted with us prior to paying for the costly repairs following your accident, we could have (and would have) intervened sooner.

      Despite all this, the owner of McPherson Car Connection, LLC wants to ensure a positive outcome, and has offered to pay a portion of the repair costs you incurred. As we have discussed on the phone, we want take care of our customers and resolve these issues as quickly as possible.

      There has been no resolution with this problem! We have received nothing to help pay for the pre-existing damage to the vehicle. How is this resolved?
