I was a resident of this apartment complex from November 2021 to November of 2022. When I moved in I was required to pay last months rent along with prorated rent, pet deposit, and security deposit. I gave notice of moving out in September of 2022 and was told that because I paid my last months rent that I wouldn’t have to log into the payment portal and pay rent for November, since it was already paid. During November of 2022, I received a 3 day notice and was threatened with eviction for not paying rent that month. I had gone to the office and showed them and told them that I had in fact paid LMR and was told this wouldn’t be an issue. They assured me that this was their mistake and it would get taken care of and to continue living there till the end of the month. I turned in all keys on November 29th 2022. Gave them a forwarding address to new residence. After 30 days, I haven’t received a security deposit back, so I called them multiple times and they told me that because of new management things were taking longer than normal. On February 4th, 2023 I received a check for 32$ and a letter explaining what they kept most of the deposit for. The letter said that they took money out for last months rent, late fees, and a deposit for filing a case against me for not paying rent. I went to the office to get some clarification on everything, and was only able to talk to a leasing agent, not the property manager. Asked her to have the property manager contact me. The leasing agent called me back to next day to tell me exactly what the letter said, and when I explained that it’s not correct and I need to talk to someone above her, she wouldn’t contact anyone.
