As part of our deal, she sold me two defective cassette decks that do not work. We cannot agree on a satisfactory resolution and I need your help.Business response

To whom it may concern:
Both of my techs and myself have bent over backwards to help this customer. He has been extremely difficult to work with as he does not understand simple concepts. This customer is in an assisted living facility and suffers from mental illness. I tried extremely hard to help him get the music system that he wanted as this is all he has and it means alot to him. I had originally done a trade with him and took a very large loss in hopes to make him happy. He had problems understanding how the unit worked, so we walked him through the process on several occassions. I had him bring that machine back to me and I provided him with yet a second unit. He still had problems understanding how the unit worked. After this, he felt that I owed him money and he was calling my shop at all hours of the day, several times a day. I finally told him that he could bring the unit back to me and I would give him back a small set of speakers and a beatles poster that he had originally traded to me. He wants his stuff back, but he does not want to give back mine. I upset him when I told him this and let him know that we are a business and he cant call us every 30 minutes. He has yet to visit the shop to return the unit and pick up his items.
When I first met this gentleman, I truly wanted to help him. I did not know that he had mental illness in the beginning. I went to his facility (something I dont normally do) I gave him the unit with nothing but good feelings about helping this man that was stuck in this facility with no way to have his music. I truly felt that I was helping this man and it has all ended with this. This entire situation has truly upset me because I only had his interest at heart and felt that this was a good deed on my part.
Lesson learned in this situation is that it is hard to do kind things for people that cant comprehend what is truly happening.
Also, my name is ***** ****** and I am the new owner of this shop. This complaint was addressed to the previous owner and that is why I could not respond right away.

She gave me back my speakers and my poster. We can close out the case.
