Hello, My name is ***** *******. I have a complaint against Hobby Haven in Overland Park KS. I recently bought two battery packs for an R/C car, an expensive R/C car. I have only driven this model approximately 4x's. One of the battery packs went south on me and my smart charging equipment has indicated that I have a bad cell in on of the two packs. I have been a life long customer of this business and have spent thousands of dollars over the years, I'm a 52yr old man now. I spoke with the owner of the business and he said he would replace this battery I'm speaking of, so after making an hour and a half trip to the Kansas City area, he used a cheap $2 harbor freight multi meter to check the overall voltage of the pack, he did not put it on a smart charger to check the balance of each cell. Then he refused to exchange it saying it was my fault, that I did something wrong. I have been in this hobby my whole life and I can tell you he is wrong. I told him I will never spend another dime at his store, and he could have cared less. These battery packs are $120 each, I got two good runs out of this particular battery before it failed, the other is working just fine. After all these years of doing business with them I feel I have been taken advantage of and would like some sort of resolution other than a discount on a new battery, I do not believe is fair or ethical business practice! I am angry, and I don't have $120.00 to just throw away, its obviously a bad battery pack that he wont stand behind. I have not any experience with the better business bureau but I am writing this to warn other consumers about this poor customer service. I thank you for your help if you can do anything, I have pictures if you need them upon request. I LITERALLY had two working runs out of this battery before it failed.
