My wife and I signed up with this vacation package back in March for a total of 23K with $5K down payment and a remaining balance of $18K. Throughout the entire presentation the representative continued to state this vacation could be cancelled at anytime. We received our VIP number and logon information about two weeks after signing up. Once we signed up using our VIP number we were finally able to check the prices of these so-called cheap vacation packages and at that point realized we were not saving anything at all. The VAO representative told us to contact them if we needed assistance booking trips, prices, etc. Since that time we received two quotes from VAO which were the same prices as trips we had already booked prior to signing u with Global. We called two weeks ago to have prices sent to us on an upcoming trip and have not received any calls nor emails back. We called the concierge multiple times since March trying to cancel this membership and have gotten the runaround and nasty attitudes. On May 20, 2024 we contacted **** Stout "Director of Membership Administration, first off he was very condescending and profoundly stated that he would not cancel the membership and he was the only one who could do so. **** was sarcastic and facetious during the call and portrayed the same behavior as the customer service representative while inquiring about cancelling and continued to talk over us. Global is asking 60% to cancel the membership, when in fact we have paid $5K and have not used the service and don't intend to use the service because it serves no benefit to us. Global and its staff are friendly when they are trying to get you to sign up but are the nastiest individuals when you try to cancel.

I called in to discuss my account and was informed they combine my account. They said this was done within the last year, and did not reach out to me to discuss. THis was done without my permissions. The representative was rude and when i stated i was considering getting rid of my account she stated "good luck" I asked for a manager and she refused.

We purchased the time share through Global Connections Llc with the understanding that we would not be charged yearly fees, cleaning fees etc unless we used the time share and then only to purchase time to use the shares. I spoke to someone today who told me that I’ve been charged a yearly fee, for the last six years. I asked to have them removed only to be told the only person that could help me was a lady named *******, who I have not been able to reach because her number goes straight to voicemail. Because of these charges we have paid over $4300 for something that was supposed to be $1599. I have the contract that states we will only be charged in the event that we use it. It states we have a current balance of $719 and it’s affecting my credit score.

On 8/19/24 at 11:54 AM I was contacted by a representative requesting that I set up a **** meeting to discuss benefit and website changes. I gladly agreed and set up a **** meeting for this Thursday. While confirming, the representative stated that he wanted both my husband and I in the meeting at which point I told him that would not be possible. The representative became very defensive and condescending stating that I "wasn't trying very hard" and that "nothing was going to change if I didn't do anything" even though I had already agreed to the meeting without any pushback. I requested the representative's supervisor, but he stated that he "worked from home and did not have a supervisor".

This company is ingenuous. Nearly half the year each of their "locations" are "peak season", requiring an additional fee of $350. Thus they make it nearly impossible to use the coupon/certificate that usually costs $190 or so. I was fortunate to get a discount. But it has taken me hours upon hours to navigate through their process to book something, all to no result. Their program promotes "condo accommodations" and "resorts". Yet, one of my only realistic options was a lodge in Avon, CO. Turns out it had hidden fees, low-ratings and poor reviews. It didn't even have a stove or oven. I got very suspicious, wondering it this was a con and decided to do some research. I asked my contact, Vicki, "How do I access a list of the properties that are part of your program?" Her response "We do not have a list...". Go figure that- how can a legitimate company in the travel business not have a list of the "resort and condo" lodgings they are allegedly partnered with?

To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with Global Discovery Vacation. My family and I were promised a variety of exciting destinations that we could visit every year as part of our vacation package. However, upon trying to book our first trip, we discovered that many of the promised locations were not actually available. This was a blatant lie that has left us feeling misled and cheated. Furthermore, upon purchasing our vacation package, we were unable to access our account and begin booking trips for over a week. This delay was incredibly inconvenient and added unnecessary stress to our vacation planning process. When we attempted to address these issues with Global Discovery Vacation, we were met with nothing but unhelpful and rude customer service representatives. They insisted that it was not their fault that the promised locations were unavailable and refused to let us out of our contract. This level of dishonesty and disrespect is completely unacceptable. We trusted Global Discovery Vacation to provide us with amazing vacation experiences, and instead, we have been met with lies and frustration. I demand that Global Discovery Vacation address these issues immediately release us from our contract. Failure to do so will result in further action being taken. Sincerely, ****** * *** *****************

Thank you for your recent letter in regards to *** ******** and the opportunity to reply to his complaint.

The Time Out Vacation provides guests with a one week condominium stay in a one bedroom or studio during value season at no cost. Guests are required to submit a security deposit when they submit the request; however, that is refunded after the guests stay and no damage is done to the condominium. Larger units and Peak times are available for an additional fee as stated in the terms and conditions.

*** ******* submitted his Time Out Vacation on August 15. On August 25 he requested to travel to Arizona in January. Unfortunately the one bedroom units for the destination had already been booked. As stated in the terms and conditions, reservations are based on a first-come, first-served basis.

We sat through a Global Discovery Vacations presentation while on vacation in Maui on 6/6/2023. We were shown slides of great properties. Spoke that we could rent their condos for $350 a week with their membership. We talked that we could go to Chicago, Scottsdale and Maui. After returning from our vacation, my husband and I looked to book two trips only to find out there were not properties in these areas on their website. We had to request a stay at their properties. We were sold that we could look on their website and book our properties. That is not at all what happened. We were also shown a slide of a high rise in Maui that we could stay at. When I go on the website there are only two story condos. We were sold that we could have up to 10 people in a 2 bedroom condo at a time. There are only one bedroom condos that accommodate 3-4 people. This is unfair trad practices under the federal (** **** **** ******* *** *** ******* *** **** *******). I would like to have the company handle this and make it right by canceling our membership and crediting our credit card without taking legal action. We asked very pointed and definitive questions and were told over and over that is correct. They even went to their website for us to see the properties. But when I go on the website, the properties are not there. Total Bait and switch. We spoke to the people that sold us the vacation and they told us to call corporate. We did that and corporate said they could not do anything. After speaking with Global Connections we found out that the sales rep isn't even an employee of Global Connections. They specifically told us they were employees. This is unfair trade practices, defraud, tricked, misled, lied to us as the consumer and omitted meaningful information. This will be brought to a court of law if a resolution cannot be made. Corporate also said there are no properties in Chicago when that is what we were sold on.

GLOBAL CONNECTIONS is a scam organization. Showed up at a trade show agreeing to watch a 90 min presentation on a great travel deal in return for a free trip. I didn't sign up but attempted to negotiate using the voucher for a free trip. Jumped through all the hoops, mailing in the required documents w/ my 3 travel destinations which were all denied. After 18 emails back and forth from back in April and none of them stating there was an opening during the time I selected I pretty much gave up until I noticed a $200 charge on a credit card I only use for one reoccurring bill. Don't know how they accessed it but I just want to be done w/ the defrauding organization and for them to never contact me again.
