We purchased outdoor shades for privacy on one side of our covered patio. Salesman ******* **** came to measure. We discussed options and how they were to be installed. I placed the order and signed the contract stating there would be a 1” gap in between the 2 shades. Contract also states “no refunds unless installation is defective.” Salesperson Brandon failed to communicate install instructions correctly, then refused to answer his phone when installer reached out for instructions, because it was his day off and he was golfing. We paid almost $2100 for 2 shades that don’t function properly due to faulty install. We agreed to a 1” gap and it is more than 3”. They should have drilled straight into the concrete patio from the top, but instead went from the side. Installer drilled several times before successfully inserting screw. This caused the concrete to break and crack. They did try to quick crete it, but it was a very poor, sloppy incomplete job. Store owner will not stand behind their product, they gave bungees from Amazon with plastic hooks that broke 2nd time using it. Installation was defective, destroying our property and owner refuses to give refund or make it right. Their solution was to get a decorative rock to put there and attach it to. No thanks, we paid for a quality product to be professionally installed and they did not provide that. Therefore we are requesting a refund so that we can hire someone to do the job right and replace it with a product that is more adequate.Initial Complaint

see attached On 10/18/2021 I signed a contract, with One Stop Decorating, ***** ** **** ***** Shawnee, KS 66216, phone ************, for 8 window blinds at the cost of $4,734.98. These 8 blinds consisted of two automatic blinds in one bedroom, four in the other bedroom and one manual blind in the bathroom. I wanted complete privacy. Prior to signing the contract, a OSD representative evaluated my situation and recommended the type of blinds he would install. He explained and showed me that I would get light from the holes created by the strings holding up the slats and to that I agreed. He assured me that these blinds would give me privacy. I signed the contract. December 16, 2021 the binds were installed. Five of the seven blinds were malfunctioning. The slats would not close completely; you could see the outside through the slats. Also, the blinds are inside mount blinds. To work, inside mount blinds require a gap on the side between the blind and the window frame. Because of this gap inside mount blinds don't provide the privacy I told the OSD representative I needed.
