I bought a 2017 chevy silverado from this business in late October of last year. There hasnt been many miles placed on it because i am a truck driver and i do not drive it daily. I noticed that the tires were wearing a couple of weeks ago and i couldnt imagine why. So i took it in for an allignment and they gave me the bad news. $3000 in work needed to be done on it to fix the problem. When i purchased the truck the kid doing the paperwork for me stated they put tires on it and i felt real comfortable about the sale. Now in the last month i havent drove it due to a surgery i had and not allowed to until just last week. Thats when i saw the problem of the tires and took it in. My feeling is that they new there was a problem and took the cheap way out on it by putting tires on it to hide the problem. I think they should take care of this with out question. Or let me return the vehicle and they return the 4000 dollars aready paid for the truck. Thank you .Initial Complaint

I bought the car on June 12th 2024 which was on a Wednesday it broke down on Friday the 14th I called drive Now on Saturday they told me to take it to **** **** Auto on Monday I took it there Monday the 17th they had it until Friday the 21st it broke back down on Sunday 23rd so I drive it to Drive Now Topeka barely made it there but they kept it until August 9th we got the car back on August 9th had it until September 26th it broke down again they had it until October 17th I went to get it and the check engine light was on so I refused to take it so they had it for a few more days called me to come get it again when I get there the light was on again so I refused again to take it so after another few days I went to get it and I was driving it home and the light came on again so I called them to let them know so The next day I went out to start the car and thr light was off so I had the car from Monday to Friday and it broke down again so on friday drive now had it towed to tornado performance I got it back that Monday and on Friday it broke down again I called and told them I would like to get another car they Said no and I've paid all my payments and I paid it earlier Two different times I have alot of health problems I had a kidney transplant I have missed Dr appointments I had to pay people to take me places and I live on disability I can't afford to pay people to take me places when I Pay for a car that I never have I would just like to please have a refund and there are the receipts I have paid except for the 8th month I missed placed it but I did pay that month and I also put a $1000 down on June 12th 2024Initial Complaint

I got a car from Drive Now. A couple of days after I got it the check engine light popped on and the car was making a horrible sound under the car as well as the car not starting Took it to ********. They said it was the battery and put new axels on the car. The ************ 2015 still making sound. When we turned on air the car smelled like eggs and we turned on heat car would pull back and drive slow. The car also stopped starting. Wouldn't unlock and when used the key to get in the cars alarm would keep going off. Called Dennis told me how to do emergency over ride on the car to start her. She went to *********** and found out the computer in car was fried and the transmission was done. There was a lot of problems. They told us it cost more to fix the car then what it was worth. They put her in the back where cars they total go. Cody(manager) refused to listen. They had my car about a week. He then sent the car to another shop they use, ************************ on **********. Cody said I needed to make a car payment and refused to tell me where my car was. Then sent me a paper in mail to repossess my vehicle. He didn't give me any kind of notice before just sent that letter. I went to pay for the vehicle. Dennis told me where vehicle is. I spoke with the shop and they informed me there was a lot wrong with the car and Dennis was trying to get Cody to give me another vehicle. They informed Cody of everything wrong with car. Cody told them to only fix the starter and the transmission and say that's all that is wrong with the vehicle. I spoke with Dennis bc I have not had my vehicle for 3 weeks. He said do not worry about the car payment just wait til I get car back. 3 days later I am getting calls from drive now saying I need to make a payment. I called spoke with Cody. He refused to listen keep speaking over me and hung up on me twice. I called recently bc again no notice in mail just said they are repossessing the vehicle. The shop said same thing the car to fix would cost more then what vehicle is worth. I again called Cody. Informed him again what now these two shops are saying he again said no it's just transmission and I need to pay *** for the warranty and *** for car payment that Dennis said do not worry about until I get my car back. I asked if I have to get a lawyer because two shops are saying he car isn't worth fixing and it will break down again and then my warranty will be up and it will come out of my pocket. Cody knew all this and still expects me to just lay down and pay it **********************************. It will be broken down again and I will still owe a car payment and however much it may to fix on top of it. I already sent a statement to attorney general's. I sent a review and last thing is to get a hold of the complaint line at Drive now and write a letter to the CEO. ***********************************************************************************************************. Then he does same thing and over talks people and talks to us like we are stupid and we can't do any thing about him selling a car to us that he knows won't lastBusiness Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/12/06) */ I am responding to Kathrine's Claims Kathrine Purchased the vehicle on 05/19/2022 She purchased it with 156,949 Kathrine had some minor issues with the vehicle in the beginning of August 2022 according to the repair record it was 08/17/2022 and the vehicle had 161,441 Miles at that time 4,492 miles after purchase. The problem with the vehicle was the battery. The battery is not a warranted item but in the way of customer service it was replaced. The next time Kathrine had any issue with the vehicle it was on or around 10/13/2022 according to the repair ticket. The vehicle had 165,644 mile on it, 8,695 miles and 5 months since her purchase. It was discovered by ********** to have a transmission in need of replacement and a possible PCM issue. Kathrine paints a picture like we were hiding her car from her and we wouldn't tell her where it was, which is simply not true. We had the vehicle transported from ************************ to ********************* because that's who we use for Transmission work. ********************* confirmed *********** findings and they quoted a Transmission replacement and a PCM Replacement. We replaced the PCM free of charge in the way of customer service as it is not a covered item in the warranty. Kathrine was covered by our 24 month 24,000 mile warranty for the transmission replacement. We were prepared to proceed with the repairs and Kathrine stopped making her payments and defaulted on her contract. The car is still at ********************* awaiting repairs and awaiting the outcome of Mrs ******** complaints. Also waiting for Mrs ******** to decide whether she wants to continue to participate in her contract and receive the vehicle back repaired. This is a very cut and dry case. Kathrine purchased and drove her vehicle for 5 months and almost 9,000 miles. She had a covered repair happen and she simply stopped making her payments and refused to communicate with us in a productive way. As a representative of DriveNow have never behaved in an unprofessional way as Mrs ******** suggests. Had Mrs. ******** continued to make her payments and participated in the Warranty process she would have her vehicle back in working order already. But she stopped making payments defaulting on her loan and discontinued communication.
