Sent my vehicle to them for body repair. In the process, they repeatedly ran my battery down, and in efforts to jump start the vehicle, they damaged my stereo system. I have all this documented on my dash cam. I spoke with Dan and he wanted to push it off on insurance assuming insurance was paying to fix my car. I paid them directly myself. I only want to be made whole for the damage done while the car was in their care. I have a playlist of videos showing what happened while in their care. ******************************************************************** In that playlist it documents that the subwoofer was working in their parking lot when I dropped the vehicle off, and the employees running the battery down and repeatedly jump starting it, and me bringing the issue to their attention before leaving the business. Also attached are screenshots of the files captured on my dashcam showing the timeline, the dashcam comes on with the key in the on position, and records 3min at a time. Since they ran the battery down and never fully charged it, it caused several unnecessary jump starts, which I believe caused the damage.

We have to jump start vehicles in our shop on a daily basis, and have never had any issues in the 40 years that we have been business. We are not responsible if something was not wired correctly before the vehicle was brought to our location. I was willing to listen to him and try to work out a resolution to the problem until he started cussing me on the phone, and thats when I ended the conversation. I added a copy of the Authorization to repair that was signed.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The battery was drained on the vehicle due to negligence. I would be interested to know what work on day 1 required the ignition of the vehicle switched on (this powers the dash cam on, which is how I have recordings from 2:47pm until 5:47pm when the car alerts to low battery and power fails. From there on video catches SEVERAL instances where a jump box was used to jump start the vehicle, and a few instances where once the box was removed the car immediately dies.

This vehicle isn't from 40 years ago, and I would like to ask in what manner the vehicles wiring is incorrect and how he determined that to be the case. I had no reason to believe work performed would be done in such a manner as to drain the battery to the point the vehicle wouldn't run without assistance from a jump box, which again, evidenced in the videos, is exactly what occurred. Hooking a jump box up to a less than 40 year old vehicle with the ignition key on can cause detrimental effects to the electrical system. Leaving the key on for the length of time not running, can also cause ignition coil damage. There are many videos that show a carelessness for a customers vehicle that I have provided that evidence just how many times the electrical system was repeatedly "boosted" which I believe led to the damage to the subwoofer which is professionally installed (******** *****) with all the appropriate failsafe's. Unfortunately the failsafe's can't protect from repeated jumps, or incorrect connections of a jump pack/boost box to the vehicle.

I have documented the subwoofer worked pulling into this businesses parking lot. I have documented my immediate notification to the business that there was damage upon pickup. When I was able to track Dan down, he repeatedly demanded to know what insurance paid for the damage despite me repeatedly telling him I paid for it myself, the angle was for him to pass the buck to an insurance company that had nothing to do with the damage. He became irate when I let him know he was leaving me little choice but to leave bad reviews.

Again, I have more than 41GB of 4k videos documenting all of this.

All I asked for was to be made whole for the damaged subwoofer.

      Sincerely,

      Alan ******
