On Jan 14, 2023 around 5:20 am I went into IHOP and ordered breakfast. I ordered a breakfast sampler and a side of potatoes, which came up to $*****. I paid using gift cards. The first gift card, I show on my records that I should have had enough on the one gift card to cover the balance, but I was told there was only $****. Card number one #****************************** So, I didn't say anything, but I show from my balance that I kept should have been $*****. So card one left a balance of $*****. So, paid it with a second gift card. Card number two #*******************. Which I should had a balance left on my card of $*****. When I get home and check the balance, because I was leery about gift #1's balance not showing right, then gift card #2 tells me I have $****. Fraudulent practice if employee's are stealing money from the customer and its a scam if other customer are affected. So, on gift card #2 I was charged $***** twice. The only receipts I seen come out of their register is the two I signed for $**** and $***** to equal $*****. Both gift cards started with $**. I did file a complaint and spoke with several individuals. Then on Jan 18, 2023 Mickey called and left a voicemail message. Stating the would be sending me a new gift in the mail within one to two days. Which she let me know she had my address by stating it in the message. I have waited on her solution but as of Jan 27, 2023 I haven't received anything. Seeking what was stolen from me $*****. That was my money. Also, if this is a scam that IHOP is doing to people, I shared that maybe I should share this with new station to make the public aware. Because the bad part of this people trust an organization to do the right thing, and one would not check the balance on the gift card. But when they go to use it like card #1 their balance is not what it should be, $***** which I have no records or can prove it because several months had went by before I decided to use it again.
