Went in last night to inquire about a loan and how it works. I had exhausted all other options. It was about an hour before close and by the time we got through the paperwork and signatures it was 5:45 or so in the evening. They close at 6. We were told, and also verified before leaving, that we had 24 hours to cancel with no fees or cost to us. After going home we talked it over. Did the budget for the next 6 months to see how this loan would affect us. We cannot be without our only vehicle due to medical reasons. For this reason we asked a friend for advice. They offered to help us instead and told us to cancel the loan. At just after 10 am (opening) this morning, we went in to cancel. They claim the title was already sent to the DMV and has a lien. We were charged the fees for the file. Less than 24 hours. We pay all fees and are told 2-6 weeks for return of title. The attitudes of the women were very suspicious. Upon returning home, we call the DMV. No lien was filed, yet. They lied to our faces on at least 2 counts. This is highly suspicious and possible illegal behavior. Illegal according to what I found online about a legislation concerning these types of loans. I'm almost out of space for explanation so will end it here. I did double check the location. It's the one on Seneca St. The one I am reviewing.
