At the recommendation of my insurance agent, I contacted NCRI to remove wet carpeting and provide services remediation of water damages in my basement. The project manager was very friendly and helpful. At the end of our initial meeting he asked if I had worked with an adjuster on my disaster. I told him yes and provided him contact information. At our next meeting he informed me the adjuster said the services were covered by my policy. I had a later conversation with the adjuster and he told me the opposite. I based every service decision on the statement from the project manager; someone who indicated his company typically worked directly with insurance providers and that adjusters often overlooked necessary services, e.g. mold remediation being one of the primary. I contacted a manager directly after I became aware of the discrepancy between what I was told and what the project manager reported. At that time I stated I felt like I was a victim of a bait and switch. I still feel that way. The misinformation directly lead me to approve services I would not have done otherwise and I incurred additional expenses as result. NCRI continues to avoid the topic of the misinformation provided by their employee and is demanding payment directly from me. This is not the way I expect a supposedly reputable company to operate. I will definitely share my experience with other potential customers.
