Seven attempts were made with the Ks Imaging Billing department to resolve the issue of the claim being denied by my insurance to patient's responsibility due to a billing correction that was needed. I have had 3-way calls with my insurance and the billing department on what was needed. The claim was not billed with a medical diagnosis only a screening diagnosis. The last conversation with Ks Imaging indicated that I would need to resolve the billing error by contacting my doctor's office to have a new prescription sent over to correct the coding. Over the numerous calls I have had with them, there is never a consistent answer or a successful resolution. They have now referred me to collections. I would like to have this claim resubmitted as corrected with a medical diagnosis that they contacted the doctor to obtain as they are the ones that are billing the claim. I would like the negative mark on my credit report removed as it should never have been sent as there was an active dispute on the amount.

Thank you for your recent letter regarding the complaint submitted to your organization by ******* ********.  ***** ********* *** provides medical billing management services on behalf of Kansas Imaging Consultants PA.  As such, I am responding to your inquiry on their behalf. It is our mutual goal to provide accurate and timely billing services in a satisfying manner to the patients of Kansas Imaging Consultants PA.

Our review of the patient’s account has resulted in these findings:

The procedure code billed was coded correctly per radiology report.
The patient can obtain updated script from their referring doctor so that it can be submitted to radiologist for additional review.
The patient is responsible for balance due with collection agency at this time.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused Jessica Nemeskal.  At this time, we request you close this complaint as we have resolved it in a satisfactory manner.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

On 02/07/2024 I was advised by **** from the billing department that I would need to contact the ordering doctor and have a script sent with a medical diagnosis to ************ attention billing referencing my account account number. To which I did and the doctor office contact me on 02/08/2024 and said that they did just that. They also indicated it was the same script that was initially sent with several medical diagnosis codes. Attached is a copy of what was sent to the fax as requested. Clearly there are 4  medical diagnosis codes non of which the claim was billed with per my insurance. I request that a corrected claim be sent to my insurance with the corrected ICD-10 codes.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ********

The billing office received amended radiology report on 4/8/24.  The original charge has been reversed and a new charge is now posted in the patient's account.  The charge will be filed out to the patient's insurance in the next couple of days.

The collection agency has been notified to cancel the balance of $49.04.

If there is any balance due after insurance processes new charge a communication will be sent to the patient.

The business sent me a bill stating that my claim was denied by insurance, but after contacting my insurance provider It was brought to my attention that the claim was never filed. I have reached out to the Kansas Imaging consultants 3 different times via email technical support with no response. I have waited countless times on the phone trying to reach someone and have been unable to communicate with anyone in regards to the claim.
