I had negotiated a price for a vehicle, but when everything was said and done, they put the original price back into the the equation hoping I didn’t notice. I would have not noticed, but the finance company that was doing the original loan was having a hard time verifying employment. I decided to have my wife buy the car through her credit union. As we were going through the paperwork, we noticed that they had put the original price back into financing, not the price we had negotiated. Plus….. we had negotiated a new windshield and tires in the deal. When I got the car back for the tires, they put two different tires that were not the same as the ones that were good and already on it. Then, they were supposed to replace the windshield. When I took it in to be replaced, they came back and said we were not able to fill the chip that was in the windshield and would have to replace it. They were supposed to replace it to begin with and not just fill the chip. Everything we negotiated, was a lie.

I do apologize about the inconvenience. A member of our team will be reaching out to you shortly to get the windshield replaced on your vehicle.

The price on the sales agreement is the price that the customer agreed on. All numbers are also reviewed by a member of our team and the customer, while in the finance department.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
I did agree on 18,250, not the 19,000 they tried to stick me with TWICE!  They’re a bunch of crooks.  They were supposed to REPLACE the windshield, not fill in the crack.  They’re replacing it now because the crack couldn’t be filled.  As far as the tires, they should have matched them with the original tires that were still good, only to be told “we’ll, it’s a used car”.  I don’t care if it’s a “used car”, it’s new to me.  I have wanted one of these cars for 10 years now, and I’m finally able to afford one now.  It makes me not even want it now because of all the BS that has come with it.  I have talked to a few people that have bought vehicles from this place, and their stories sound familiar.  I just want my windshield and for them to lose my number.
      Sincerely,
      ********* **********

I am showing that the contract is signed at $18,250. The customer came in on 10/23/23 and the windshield was replaced. We put 2 brand new tires on the vehicle at no cost to the customer. There is nothing else that we can do.

I went to Eddys CDJR ** ********** on 04/04/2023 to purchase a car and I had the car until 4/11/23 they called and said they wanted the car back and they kept my $**** down payment. Is there anything I can do?

      Business response

      05/15/2023

The customer provided fraudulent information (DL and Paystubs) so we were not able to get a bank to accept the deal. The customer was required to return the vehicle.  The customer only paid $*** of the $**** downpayment that was agreed on. We will be refunding the $*** and sending a check to the address on file.
