HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. If I could leave zero stars I would. My dog went to them for a handful of visits and it was known that my dog hated the high velocity blow dryer. It has been documented on her chart since the very first appointment. I took her into them today for another grooming appointment. When dropping her off, the groomer said “Oh Sadie I know you hate the blow dryer” And I said “yes Sadie absolutely hates the blow dryer” That conversation proves that she understood that my dog would not tolerate the blow dryer well and with the documented information provided, she should use the fan instead. Then about an hour after leaving I received a phone call saying that Sadie got aggressive with the groomer when she was using the high velocity blow dryer on her. Because of that my dog had become extremely stressed. They no longer wanted to see Sadie again due to the aggression and needed us to come pick her up. It is so disappointing and harmful to my dog and any dog in the future that they groom, when they ignore specific and documented information about the dogs that they are serving. When you are paying for a service, and your dog has specific needs (like needing to be dried with a fan instead of the high velocity dryer) and those are ignored, the trust is broken and your dog suffers because of that. Do not take your dog here to be groomed, because their needs will be overlooked and completely ignored!! And after speaking with the owner about the situation with her groomer it is clear that the compassion is lacking and they do not know how to take responsibility for the mistakes made.

Thank you for the review, Colette. Unfortunately I was not in the salon today, but I did speak with Sadie's groomer, and the other groomer on staff today. And after reviewing security camera footage, it was clear that they did the right thing in sending her home. When dogs start pooping and peeing for services, we send them home as to not incur more stress. There were no notes in our system about not blow drying your dog. They simply stated she did not like the blow dryer, as most dogs do not. We try our very best to get dogs as dry as possible, in the shortest amount of time we can, so the dogs are not left in our care for too long. The longest time we have had her in our salon was 4 hours, which is typical for any doodle getting groomed. That leads me to believe that she was previously blow dried with us. Typically when dogs are on a regular grooming schedule of around 6 weeks, they become less effected by the blow dryer, which is why we would have tried that route, considering there were no notes stating we could not blow dry her. I did also review the camera footage from the lobby, and after watching the way your husband berated and cursed at my groomers, it was clear a solution was not what you both were seeking. Again, I apologize for Sadie being stressed out while in our care, but the notes were not there stating we could not blow dry her, and nothing was mentioned about not doing so at drop off. We wish you luck in finding a new groomer for your pup.
