Financed a used **** since it has been in the shop 6 times and the repairs are done through Affordable Autos Mechanics. They have a 50/50 warranty. In which we have to see the mechanic their I have paid out over a thousand dollars including a refinance to repair the vehicle again. I was told the vehicle was a V8 it's a V6 there has been no resolution except for I keep paying their mechanics. And nothing is related properly the radiator was one of the last repairs and the coolant reservoir empties out. I was told I need to pay to have it repaired

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to our customer's complaint.

It's unfortunate that someone has any mechanical problems with their vehicle, however our customers are covered by a comprehensive warranty that lasts for the duration of the original

retail installment agreement. In this case we've gone above and beyond the 50/50 terms of the warranty to aid in having all the repairs completed that the customer requested.

Some repairs were completed according to the warranty's 50/50 terms. A good amount of repairs were completed at no charge and financing was offered in house to facilitate some repair costs as well.

As always we strive to please our customers and we hope our efforts are met with this customer's satisfaction.

The car that I purchased from Affordable Auto has an electrical short in the rear doors, they won't even open manually now, I brought the problem to to sales persons attention the day I drove it off the lot, and a few more times after that, they tell me it's not there problem, they are willing to pay half to fix it but they should be the ones paying for it all because they knew about it from day 1

July 12 2022 I went to purchase an automobile decided on one to purchase filled out all paperwork and was initially approved. Went back July 13 to finish purchase final agreement was for ******* down and *** bi-weekly. I initialled and sign the agreement. Went to make down payment with salesman to there payment department. Was stopped by a manager and told if I wanted the transmission service which was in the purchase agreement documents I would have to wait until the service was completed before I could buy the car. I said I would wave the transmission service so I could go through with the purchase right then. We went back to the sales office where the salesman left me waiting. When he came back he said the bi-weekly payment would now be ****** instead of the agreed ****** that was already signed for. I said no the paperwork was already signed at ******. The salesman left again and when he returned he asked me if I was purchasing the car for somebody else and said his manager was accusing me of a straw purchase. He said he overheard me on my cellphone talking to someone about the car. I was talking to someone, my wife (we are separated have been for years) I was telling her about the payments changing and what was going on with my purchase. I believe they used this drummed up straw purchase as a way to not honor the signed purchase agreement.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/19) */ As standard procedure the customer's offer was written on a worksheet and presented to management for review. Once the worksheet and credit application are submitted they are reviewed for approval still representing only the customer's offered terms. Sometimes after review new terms are presented to the customer which in this case they were. Our intention is to consider any offer and not pre-judge or dictate terms to anyone as each person has different purchasing power due to credit history, income, debts, stability in employment, residence, etc., A reasonable counter to Mr. ******* offer was made , he refused it. There was no exchange of money and no purchase agreement/installment contract was signed. I do not see a problem to resolve at this time and would ask that this complaint file be considered closed. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This is not what happened. Myself and the salesman were at the payment counter to pay the down payment. If a down payment was being made both the buyer and seller had come too agreed upon terms. The sales or finance manager approached and said I couldn't put a down payment because the transmission inspection was not completed. I said I would wave the check then and continue the purchase. We went back to the sales office and I was left alone there. A few minutes later the salesman came back and said the financial manager was not accepting the deal. He told me the owner had accepted the offer but finance reviewed it and want my payment to be higher. I said no we had an agreed upon price where you were willing to take a down payment it was signed off on by the owner and that's the deal I wanted to complete. The salesman left again when he came back was when they accused me of a straw purchase deal and refused to sell the car. A few minutes before that they were willing to sell the car if I agreed to a higher bi-weekly payment. At this point reading the business response I wouldn't purchase anything from Affordable Autos inc.
