On January 25 2024 I purchased a used vehicle from General Auto Sales. I was told that even though the solenoid was misfiring, the vehicle would still function. I drove it home, didn't have any problems. The next morning, I go to complete some errands and the check engine light comes on. The mechanic said the solenoid misfiring would cause the light to come on, the car should still work. I drove the car later that night with my family to go pick up some dinner across town. As we were coming back home the transmission temp light comes on. We park the car let it cool down, drive it back home. Due to it being the weekend we had to wait until Monday January 29 to take it back to the car lot to inform them of what was going on. They said I had a split radiator hose and failed thermostat. The owner, ***** ****** said they would order the new parts and repair my car at no charge. I asked if I would be able to drive to the Dillons down the street from my house, and was told yes by the mechanic. Tuesday, January 30 I was on my way back from the store and my transmission went into limp mode. I cannot drive the car over 20 miles per hour. Wednesday January 31, the mechanic said he would come to my house and look at the car. He did not show up on Wednesday. He called me February 1, saying he would follow me to the shop for my car to be worked on. I still do not have a working vehicle. I feel as though I have been misled as to the problems with the vehicle. I keep being told that once the radiator hose and thermostat are fixed then the car will work.

      Dear Amelia,

We take pride in always holding up our end and standing by our warranty. Our records indicate you did bring the ******* to our shop and our mechanics did work on it. However, after further inspection, we needed to make another appointment with our electrician, so you were asked to schedule a time to bring the car back. We reached out to you to schedule a time for you to drop off the vehicle as it was a several hour job and you said you did not want to do that and you didn't think it should take that long. You are still within your warranty so if you wish to schedule a time to drop the vehicle off you are welcome to do so.

In regards to the title, you were issued a free 60 day tag on the date of purchase. The date of Purchase was March 4th, 2023 so your 60 day tag expires May 3rd, 2023. This allows us time to get the title certified mailed to you. However, we want all of our customers to be happy so we will put a rush on the title for you. However, until you receive the title and register the vehicle the 60 day tag is completely legal to drive on.

      Thank you

Bought a car from the dealer in April 2022. Dealer claimed that the engine was in good condition and offered warranty. After purchase, took car to mechanic who said that one of the cylinders in the engine was bad and needed extensive repair amounting to $**** or more. Returned to dealer, who took to his own mechanics who confirmed the issue. Dealer didn't offer any assistance with repair, even under the timeframe of the supposed warranty. Don't want the repair, don't want the car. Not asking for anything more than a refund at this point. Dealer still has possession of the vehicle. Requesting resolution.

I purchased a vehicle from this company in May of 2021. Before the 60 day warranty was expired the transmission had failed. He lied twice saying it was fine. He took the car to a shop on August 9 2021. Since then he has given them a faulty transmission and has yet to get the car fixed. It has been nearly 3 months now. I have been left without a vehicle and with no idea as to when or if I will even get it back yet. I have been offered no rental vehicle either. I want my money back in full. This is beyond ridiculous.

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/11/21) */ The vehicle was taken to 2 different shops and both concluded that nothing was wrong with the transmission. We will take the vehicle to a 3rd shop on Tuesday and customer is welcome to examine the receipts from all shops. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2021/11/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have spoken to the shop. Who said it most definitely was not fine. You then gave them another busted transmission. You also owe them $*** before they'll even release the car back to you. The only reason you would be taking it to a different shop is because the owner of the shop that the car has sat at since August told you to come pick up all 5 or 6 vehicles by 11/17/21 because they had sat there for so long without transmissions. Nice try though.
