I bought a 2014 Grand Cherokee which has 135,000 or so miles on it. On April 13, 2024 From Prestige Auto **** W. Kellogg drive. I traded in my 2018 Jeep Cherokee. I had the vehicle for four days before the air suspension went out on it. My original deal came with a 30 day or 1000 mile warranty. I did not get the extended warranty due to it not covering any engine issues. **** who is the manager of prestige auto Is the person I have been in contact with whenever any issue occurred. **** ordered the parts I needed and fix the air suspension but did not have A tank of nitrogen to fill my air suspension tank so I had to go to another jeep dealership and had it filled which cost $350 dollars which I shouldn’t have had to pay for since I only had had the vehicle for less than a week. That was the first major issue. The second major issue occurred when I was headed to Dallas Texas on June 14 with my wife two young children, I was outside of Denton, Texas when I excelled rated past a truck on the highway in my car went into neutral and white smoke came from under my vehicle and it shot out all of my engine oil. I had the Jeep towed to Gainesville, Texas to a local mechanic who diagnosed my vehicle as the engine being seized. The mechanic in Gainesville, Texas stated more than likely the housing for the oil filter was cracked, and which caused it to have a slow leak overtime to wear. All of my engine oil leaked out because he stated my transmission Was covered in oil. The mechanic believes the last person to work on the vehicle overtighten the cap on the housing of the filter, which caused the crack which was the mechanics from prestige auto. I’ve only had the Jeep for two months. I had to pay out-of-pocket to have it towed to Gainesville, Texas, and to have it towed back to WICHITA. **** Stated he would give me a quote for a replacement engine, but has not contacted me back yet and And does not want to pay for the replacement Even though his mechanics caused the damage.
