Salt River Electric: Trespassed on my property. Killed several of my trees without notification or permission. Some trees were sprayed. Some trees were ringed using a chainsaw to kill them without actually cutting them down.

15 months after receiving my first electric bill in a new apartment, and after paying on time or before the due date every month, I received a bill for over $900. This was in Sept 2022 any my service began in June of 2021. In around June of 2022, my bills rose suddenly by about $40-50 monthly and so I called to ask why, as nothing on my end had changed (no extra usage,etc.). The person I spoke with in billing, told me new meters were installed on my building and some units were incorrectly billed - they tied certain meters to the incorrect address, they said. So they say they billed me for the wrong unit for over a year and they only realized their mistake "because I called." I refuse to be billed or pay for more than one year of power (or any at all) that I didn't use. They can send me all the b.s. spreadsheets they want after more than a year and a half, they just plugged my apt number in after the fact because I was the fool that called about my bill. I took the fall for mistakes in installation as well as billing. I'm definitely not paying for that, nor will I have my good credit damaged for their mistakes and incompetence. I want the balance removed and a notice sent to the collections company they referred they account to, as that is not a valid debt on my part.

Salt river electric has had outages an absurd amount of times. The issues is not even the amount of outages but the fact that they have no ability to report the outage, check on the status of the outage or contact anyone at all is outrageous. When you call, no matter the time of day, all you get is a busy signal. No company should be allowed to disregard your call, especially when there is an outage and people work from home. Any “business” the services the amount of people they do should be required to at least have a que. I would gladly wait for a rep without complaint. It should be illegal to avoid costumers in all instances.

Regarding your recent inquiry with the Better Business Bureau, Salt River Electric does have the ability to report outages and check their status on our website, **************. In regards to contacting the co-op during an outage, it is important to note that during large power outages, several thousand members may, at any given time, call in and report their own instance of power loss. Salt River Electric does utilize a queue system for phone calls, but when hundreds or even thousands of members call in at once, it becomes extremely difficult to answer even a small portion of their calls. We understand the urgency members feel when the lights go out, and we encourage them to report outages through our free mobile app or through our website in order to avoid busy phone lines.”

St River Elec (40071) mailed my deposit refund on 10-14-21, I’ve yet to receive my refund. Customer service rep. *****, is rude and has talks over me each time I’ve spoken with her. Ive left 4!! Voicemails tfor ********* in accounting with no response, call back. I want my refund mailed to me again! Asked if they can check to see if it has been cashed ( of course it has NOT) and to cancel said check. They stated that they would charge me $35.00, to do so. This is unacceptable- period. I, again, want my refund as PROMISED.
