On October 17, 2023 ******* ********* with Underwood Family Tree Service removed a tree and it fell on our neighbors carport which did damage totaling $1900. He said he was fully insured but said the damages was less than his deductible only about $100. worth of damage. I then said no that is much more than that in materials alone. The cost of taking the tree out was $500. I paid him $200. Saying repairs need to be done, hoping he would make good on any repairs needed and I would pay him the remainder of the balance. On Nov. 30, 2023 I contacted him in text and waited, after not hearing back i called him and he said he was waiting to hear back from his insurance before getting back with me. I got a text on 12-09-2023 from my neighbor saying the contractor she wants needs to get the work done before winter bad weather starts. I then tried calling him, leaving a voicemail and texting him with no avail. I called him 12-11-2023, text and left him a voicemail with no response. My neighbor contacted him today and he gave her the runaround, put her on hold and then hung up. He has since text her and said it's not covered by his insurance and him and I made an agreement that he would do the repairs! I can't do that as I don't own her property. He also said he would do his best to resolve the issue. I believe he isn't licensed or insured and has been putting false advertising on his website and Facebook ads. I feel this business is liable for all repairs. I have a neighbor that witnessed everything.

This is ******* ********* with Underwood family tree service in regards to a better business bureau complaint I received in the mail on January the 4th, in regards to the complaint this complaint is misleading and it seems that the person filing does not have all the information from the neighbors the person who had the tree taken down I was called and asked to come out and give a price to take down a tree and clean it up I give a bit of $2,000 to take down the large ash tree full removal the person told me that they could not afford that much I told them another quote for a thousand to just drop the tree and cut it up no cleanup the person again instructed me that they could not afford that much and asked if there was anything else I could possibly do the only option I told him was I could cut the tree as an individual not as a business no cleanup just drop it and leave it as is. They told me they had permission from the neighbor to drop the tree on the property line and that if it fell in their yard it was okay with them they were just happy to get the tree down that is what I did I dropped the tree for $500 when it fell along the property line one limb on the left side crazy the edge of the neighbors carport it look like cosmetic damage there was no structural damage the customer and I measured all the metal that had been struck. The person I cut the tree for and I took measurements and called the local hardware store and got prices to replace each piece of metal in full sheets brand new we got a quote for the full amount of materials that came to about $300 worth to replace everything in full sheets the lady then placed the order I took the money from the $500 for dropping the tree and paid the full amount of the quote $300. She and I both agreed on this I wrote her a receipt that it was paid in full I even offered to come back and do the work to replace everything we both signed off on the receipt and was in full agreement that my part was finished.
