I paid a $500 deposit for a puppy. When I asked more information of my future puppy. The owner ghosted me and blocked me from ******** and other sources of contact. Since the $500 was for the puppy and I never backed down from the agreement. The Business violated my consumer rights and owes me the $500 back.Customer response

Bought a dog from them. Spent 2k. Puppy started having all kinds of issues. Vet x rays reveled abnormal coursing of the ribs which means a defect on both sides. This created a significant gap on both sides of his rib cage. This caused herniating when he barked. One testical did not drop which was recommended to neither. I purchased dog for a sport working prospect. The vet(s) have all said I had two review x rays that it purchased for working which was explained to the breeder before purchase. Looking back at pictures when he was 6 wks old that the breeder took, you can see a gap on his side. This means he had this before I got him. This guy has been breeding for 2 decades. Either he knew there was something off with this dog and chose to not disclose it or he was inexperienced in identifying structural issues. He keeps putting me off. I have been more than fair. I have vet records and have been transparent with him. He wanted me to have my vet send records to his vet. When I asked for his vets info twice, he refused to respond. My friend texted him as well and asked for his vet info and he just ignored. How can I send vet records to his vet like he requested if he won’t give me his vets contact? Even tho I sent him x rays, vet letter with results and a copy of all the receipts for treatment and x rays. The unethical breeding practices popping out several litters a year is egregious. It’s no more than a glorified puppy mill at best. Ideally I would like to see him honor his word he suggested to return the dog and he would refund me, return dog and get another pup or keep and get another pup. I elected return and refund. He does no health, genetic testing, does not certified hips or elbows. Has zero working or health guarantee, that’s why chose to return pup and ask for a refund. But his response to me states he is not going to go that route. He will claim all things to pass the blame on others.Business response

**** ******** and ***** ****** with Mohawks Maliniois - I'm responding to the case of "she broke the puppy and now it's our fault". We have been breeding Belgian Malinois for 20 years. 14 years here in Bowling Green, Kentucky prior in Michigan - We are very reputable breeders and take pride in our Breeding Program. We have more text and emails about how **** Loved ********* She took him to some awful places to train while he was a puppy. We do have a lawsuit in progress with her and a couple other folks on Facebook for a Slander case. We have a vet letter stating that ******** does have a space in his rib cage that will not do anything to harm his lifespan. Some dogs are missing a rib, some have a floating rib that is not genetic. It is something that happens when being developed or born (birth defect) No genetic testing for this. As you see **** was very happy until she realized she ruined a nice puppy. She did not return him, she had someone else return him. He was in Very bad shape. He arrived on Sunday and the next day I contacted animal control and enclosed their report. I contacted other breeders and warned them about her. At this point she decided it was our fault. An ear infection she blamed us for now she admitted in a text I included that it must have been when bathing him or? **** picked her puppy out of the whole litter, coming the week before (checking them all out) taking him home. As far as a testicle not dropping we do not refund for that as he is still young and we have had them drop as late as a year old. Being said they can live a healthy life with only one. We will have time and money into getting ******** healthy again. We charge 2,000 a month to board and train a pup/dog at our facility (our home) and he will need 2 months of care that will take our time away from another client dog (limited space) We feel that we are not obligated to giving her a refund on the circumstance of the condition that she returned ******** in, the rehabilitation time and the Facebook Slander Case pending - I can email vet our vet report with her bad training videos, many more text and messages that we have on how happy she was with ******** - Sense ******** came here in rough condition we took a poll on our private Facebook page Mohawks Malinois Family page - The poll was changing his name "Mohawks 2nd Chance" is his new name - Call Name "Chance" The photo of ******** that I enclosed was the day he was dropped off with the guy who dropped him off standing there. We are not obligated to give **** our vets information once she dropped off ******** as she claimed. As **** stated "We have zero health Guarantee" she knew that at time of purchase - He was taken to our vet at 7 weeks old for their first Vaccine - (new home 8 weeks) then the new owner is responsible to follow up with their vet. All her vet reports say nothing until her training failed and was so skinny with sunken in ribs. **** *************

We bought a two year old malinois male dog from Mohawks for 4,000. He did not work out for our family. They agreed to take the dog back and give us $3,000 of our money back. They have had the dog back and never gave us our money back. Kept saying they would when they had puppies and kept putting it off. Now they’ve blocked us. They’ve had the dog and money now, that is theft.
