    I am the athletic director and women’s basketball coach at a college. Today I purchased 10 basketballs from spalding.com. I received an email that said my order was confirmed. Later I logged in to my account to track the progress of the order and I see that it was cancelled with no explanation. I was given the option to reorder so I did. It told me something was wrong with my billing address. I retyped my billing address. And resubmitted. It gave me the same issue. I tried using a different method ****** ***” which pre approves the card details. It told me there was an issue with billing address. I tried google pay. Same issue. I tried pay pal same issue. I decided to call customer service. For an hour they had me “correct” the billing address and resubmit the order. Each time I was given the same error. After getting disconnected while on hold. I got a representative that said that due to the multiple attempts placing the order I had received a negative “***** score and was restricted from ordering from the website for at least 3 weeks. I had successfully placed an order two days prior for 12 basketballs using the same shipping and billing info. I asked for the issue to be corrected. They said they were unable to change the “***** system. I said I needed a solution since I needed to order these basketballs for our college team. I was told the only option was to order through a third party vendor. I explained that because of a discount for teachers their website offers as well as free shipping for spalding account holders the price through a third party would be significantly more expensive. I had already quoted the price with our usual distributor. This order was to be placed today because our fiscal year ends in two days. I believe they intentional have restricted my ability to purchase the balls at the advertised discounted rate in order to force me to have to purchase them through a 3rd party distributor at a significantly higher price.
