Car was sold in an unsafe manor. One week into having the car the ABS went out. Two weeks in the rear end was so rusted we had to have it replaced and repairs were almost $1000. Six months into the car loan the transmission, drive plate, torque converter, and power steering cooler went out. Repairs and parts totaling almost $4000. I asked for them to work with me and make it right but they refused and I was told even if I surrendered the car he would just sue me if I didn’t pay out the remainder of the loan. At this time I have paid what the car is worth and because they are unable to resale the car since it has so many issues they still want the car payment while I have no working car.

Any time we sell a vehicle to a customer we allow the customer to test drive the vehicle and have the vehicle checked out due to all our vehicles are sold as is. It is posted in every car that there are no warranties offered and it has to be acknowledged a few times on the contract by signature. We sell used cars so we have no idea what may arise. The Customer has had the vehicle since 1-18-23 so transmission issues were 8 months after purchase. The customer called and said that we can pick up the vehicle from the repair shop that they had left it at and that we had two days to pick it up before they start charging a per day storage fee at which time there could be a mechanics lien placed on the vehicle. We had told the customer to have the vehicle towed to us and come in to talk to use but the customer refused to. They had said that they were refusing to abide by their contract and pay for the vehicle because it broke down. The customer stated that the repairs were gonna cost $4000. We called their mechanic and he said the labor was going to be about $1000. The customer said the parts were going to be about $3000. We have found a transmission for about $400 and know mechanics for less than $1000. During the conversation we were being attacked with obscene comments by the customers wife. We think that she is the one that filed this complaint. The reason that we think she filed this complaint is because after our talk the customer had texted us and said... (I? sorry for her losing her cool but it is stressful not having a vehicle and not being able to afford to fix it. We are struggling providing for two elderly parents and four child. That's why when she called she wanted to know if yall could work with us b y paying off the GMC and helping us with a working vehicle. I know its not your issues but this is are reality. If you all can wait until next week for the payment i will have it towed here and keep paying the loan.) We still have the text message.
