I contacted ****** ***** of TNT Performance Horses, LLC about training my 3 year old horse. We trailered the horse to the facility she trains out of ********** **** * ***** on June 4, 2022. Was not made aware of a contract until I arrived with my horse and she was in the stall. She sent the contract through google docs I read through it quickly and agreed. I never received a copy until I asked for it for my lawyer on 6/9/22. My filly was there 1 day and I received a message she bent the “patience“ pole. Which is a metal pole that they tie horses to with a chain. I was then informed I was to pay for the damaged pole. After seeing the picture I told them I would be to get my horse. They would not release my horse to me until I paid $460 for a rusty metal pole with a chain to tie horses and I had to paid for 15 days of training $500 for a total of $960 by cashiers check or cash. My horse was dropped off on 6/4/22 and I picked her up on 6/6/22 because I was not leaving her any longer in an unsafe environment. I paid with a cashiers check and took my horse home. I do not think I should have to pay for 15 days of training when she was only there 2 days. The pole they tied my horse to looked unsafe and rusted. How do I know that the pole was not already weakened by other horses they tied to it.

      Business response

When Mrs. ******* came to pick up her horse, she refused to speak with me so I couldn't show her the damage then. I really would have prefered to speak to her about it in person and resolve it then. If you need more material such as a copy of the contract or quote for the repair costs please let me know. I also have had other clients offer to write letters of recommendation for me if you need material like that. Additionally, I cannot offer Mrs. ******* the refund she requested. The quote I gave her for the damages was the lowest I could do and only included the cost of materials. I paid the cost of labor myself.

Thank you for your patience on my delayed response,

In reference to the complaint against my company from Mrs. *******, the facility had been inspected and found to be safe. The consumer signed off on the contract that she had inspected the facility and found it to be so.

Thank you so much for all your help,

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I did not inspect the premises and facilities because I was not even aware of a contract until my horse had already arrived at the facility and been put in a stall. Then while standing in the barn aisle I was texted a link to a contract. I should have been made aware of a contract and it should have been sent for me to review back when I first inquired about using TNT ****** ***** as a trainer. Which was a few months prior to making plans of my arrival with my horse.
my horse was there one day before I got a message and picture my horse had bent a pole. I was then told I could not come get my horse until I paid for damages and 15 days training. My horse was only there 2 days.
I think this is poor business practices and others should be made aware.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *******
