We took our 2015 accord into Hardin county Honda to get the wheel well liner fixed. We asked them to check out the air conditioner. I said my husband thinks it may be the engine mount. Please check engine mounts as the steering wheel vibrates when the ac is ran. They called and said they recharged the AC without our consent, the ac had just been recharged 10,000 miles ago. We were charged 155$ for something we never consented to, and something that in no way was part of the issue. They did not do as they were asked, and went ahead and did whatever they wanted without customer consent. They didn’t even check the engine mounts as requested.Business response

We are responding to the complaint ID #********.
Ms. ******* ***** came into our business on 05/18/2022 early in the morning for us to repair her fender liner. As she dropped off her vehicle, she also asked to have the AC looked at (stated it was not working), my service advisor advised her that it would be an additional $215.00 for us to perform the diagnostic. We performed the test of the ac operation, which in order to see if there are any leaks (not seen with the common eye), you have to do a recharge in order to find any. We advised the customer that there were no leaks, however we did add freon, and told her that they needed to monitor. There was never anything mentioned about the engine mounts at the time she dropped off the vehicle. Her husband called in later that afternoon after they had paid for there service ticket and that was the first time that “engine mount” was brought up after the fact.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The air conditioning was never “not working” and no one ever said such a thing. No one ever disclosed a 200$+ diagnostic fee either, it was to inspect the ac making a vibration effect when turned on. Never did anyone say it was not working. Very unethical for a business to say such a thing. The issue was brought up before it was paid for, by my uncle, because he knew you were giving us trouble.Beware: this place will perform unauthorized work and hold your car hostage,
