******* was hired to install a 24 gauge standing seam metal roof. It took two months for them to install roughly 1700 square feet of roofing due to ******* originally procuring the wrong materials - a thinner, cheaper metal. After metal roof was installed, I noticed pop marks on the roof while prepping my front wall for siding installation. Metal roof on the front of the house needed to be walked on to access wall for siding. I took extensive precautions such as using cleaned, cushioned running shoes to prep wall for siding installation. Even with my precautions there were areas where nails were telegraphing through the metal roof. I communicated defect to ******* roofing while paying my bill for work performed (February 14, 2024), I assumed the warranty protection offered by ******* would cover me for this defect. ***** ******** the project manager, assured me that this failure was seen on other metal roofs utilizing the same crew that installed mine and it is going to be addressed. When ******* sub contractors arrived on site to investigate my issue, I witnessed a cap nail causing the the metal roof to be unable to lay flat against the roof decking. This obstruction caused several raised areas on my metal roof. What was even more concerning was that these cap nails were used on my main roof as well. ******* agreed that they would remove all obstructions from my roof. They only performed work on the front roof and pop marks can still be seen on the areas where they didn't replace the metal. On the main roof the same issue will happen once contractors need to access roof for installation. Furthermore, I had also called the supply source of the metal roofing to understand what fastener spacing needed to be for installation. CAD metal's informed me that screws needed to be placed every 2' on center, ******* had significant areas where they installed outside of the suppliers installation specification, making my roof susceptible to premature failure.
