I came into ACE pawn in Elkhorn Kentucky for a 9mm, I was sold a ******* for just over 100 usd. I came back asking for a ***, was told they have none and took my phone number, when I got home they stated they "randomly" found a *** in the backroom, I came back and "sold" the ******* which they gave me 50 dollars, I used that to and cash I had for the *** (which was brand new in box never used)...short time later I explained I still have not fired this but got extra items bought with it and could be loaned 100usd since I am buying it back and do not want to pay too much. I have been coming in off and on paying on it. Everytime I paid I was never given a full receipt or a new receipt (only amount paid that day and date wrote onto my original ticket). I was told it would be 220% interest if I paid in 12 months and less interest if paid off in 90 days (I went with 12 months and had been making my payments past 90 days). I repeatedly told them this was not a sale I was paying to get back. Everytime I made payments I asked...how much time do I have before it is re sold and they stated "no time limit, we just keep adding interest and it is 220% for 12 months" every payment I asked how much do I have to bring in next month to get my stuff back and what the monthly interest is and their reply was "we can not tell you that, you will only know that day". I explained these things they write down gives me zero info on anything it just shows how much I gave them that day and nothing else and was ignored (this happened every payment). The 90 days was explained to me as "if ZERO payments are made"...they said since I have been making payments I do not have to worry about this I am on 12 month plan (which I never went past before item sold). I came in to make another payment and showed my ticket, they KEPT my ticket with payments made and put behind their computer telling me 10 day notice does not have to be given and then laughed at KRS 226 saying this statute was false.

The ** ***** pistol *** ****** mentioned was pawned for $90.00 on 6-3-22. He did not come back to pick up or pay on the ** ***** so it was expired and put out for sale on 10-3-22. On 6-3-22 he purchased the ****** ***. *** ****** then came in on 3-15-23 and pawned the ******. *** ****** paid a payment on his ****** 4-23,6-23,9-23,and another 12-23 which made the due date on his pawn 10-28-23. It was expired and put out for sale on 2-12-24.

*** ****** failed to meet his end of the pawn agreement he entered into. There is no such thing as a "12 month plan" *** ****** refers to. It stated on his pawn ticket,as with every pawn ticket that is made "The property pledged as security for the loan extended by this agreement may be redeemed by the pledgor by paying all amounts ordered under this agreement prior to the expiration of 60 days from the due date of the loan. If the pledgor does not redeem on or before the due date, loan charges shall continue to accrue as set forth on the reverse side. The property pledged may be sold by the pawnbroker after the expiration of 60 days from the due date of the loan." At the time *** ******* items were put out for sale they were 107 days past the due date of the loan.  If *** ****** would like to pay what the pickup would have been at the time his items were put out for sale, which was $200.00,I'd be glad to order his items back new.

      Better Business Bureau:

I would like to reject the offer of Mediation for complaint ID ********.

This business in their replies have showed they violated Kentucky statues which I showed proof of in my past attachments.

      Regards,

      ****** ******
