John M****** of ******* KY painted the exterior of our home at the end of July 2023, and it was a bad experience. He is rude, loud, unprofessional, dishonest and has a nasty vulgar mouth. For the quote, he showed up 15 minutes early and was professional. Once he started the job, he showed his true colors. He cussed and said the f word over and over and talked about having *** with his girlfriend. We heard him telling the guy he was working with **** *** *** ** *** ** *** *** *** ****** *** - how disgusting! He acted mad when I told him about spots that needed to be touched up. When they did touch the spots up the color looked lighter. They caulked some spots, and he said that the caulk must have still been wet and mixed in the paint. Then he told water must have got into the paint from the sprayer and diluted it. Then we found out that he had bought totally different brand of paint than what we already had and said the color must be off. He sprayed our whole house and touched up with a brush. I read online that using a brush on a painted area that has been sprayed can make is look different and lighter. Since he's supposed to be a professional painter, I would think he would know this. For two months he kept telling me he was coming back and never did. He finally came on 9/8/23, and the color was still light. On 9/20/2023, I finally told him that, the next week would be two months since he had first started painting our home and we want it finished. I told him that we immediately paid him, but he took his time coming back. He said that doesn't mean anything and hung up on me. He did come back on 9/30/23 and ended up repainting the areas and we noticed the next day beige paint on 6 of the shutters. He was very rude and acted like we were inconveniencing him. He finally said he thinks the issue was using a brush since it had been sprayed. He also supposedly fixed a gutter for us, that still leaks. He's a real dishonest jerk- putting it nicely!
