On Friday 04/29/2022, I towed my car to “AAMCO Transmissions” repair located at “3210 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018”, to give me an estimate on my ford focus 2014. They told me it would cost between $2,500 - $3,500, so I told them to wait on my confirmation before starting repairs, to see if I can find a cheaper shop. After calling about 25 shops in the grater southern Ohio area, I found a cheaper shop “jerry’s Transmissions” which offered to do the job for between $1,500 - $2,500, and I scheduled an appointment for Thursday 05/05/2022. This morning when I sent a tow truck to move the car from “AAMCO Transmissions” to “jerry’s Transmissions” I got a call from “AAMCO Transmissions” saying they completed the job and it would cost $3,200 for them to release the car. I never authorized the charge, and was surprised when I found out that they did the job without my consent. I wasn’t surprised for long, I soon read the rest of the reviews, with a whole bunch of them giving bad reports. attached is my call log this past week, with all the company's iv'e been in touch with.
