A&A quoted leveling the entire lawn with topsoil, (See attached quote) seeding and covering with straw. They came out August 13th to start the project. Noah from A&A and I discussed the project on-site and he confirmed that the entire lawn would be smoothed out. The crew put dirt in some ruts and a tree stump hole, seeded and put straw over the areas they filled in. I called to see why the entire lawn was not smoothed over with topsoil as I had expected. I was told that the project was for only filling in the ruts around the yard. There are still many, many ruts and dips throughout the entire yard. The next day another team came out and aerated and spread a compost material over the lawn. It did not level out the lawn at all. Additionally, the company dump truck loaded with topsoil created a crack in a new asphalt driveway that A&A is claiming no responsibility for at all (pictures attached). Clearly, the pictures show where the heavily loaded dump truck crossed over the driveway and parked on the edge of the driveway, creating the long crack. The new asphalt driveway was just laid in May. The company misrepresented what they said they would do by quoting the leveling of the entire lawn, but only filling in some low areas, and damaged the new driveway. In summary, I do not have a smooth lawn but I do have a cracked driveway.Business response

Hello
Yes, we acknowledge that what was sold did not meet the expectation of the customer. We were aware of this when the supervisor spoke with owner the day of the job. I, the business owner was made aware of the issue and contacted the homeowner directly. Form the conversation with my supervisor had with owner as well as my phone call we determined that the owner wanted an even layer of soil throughout the entire yard. I explained our options and we agreed to use a topdressing machine that would spread compost through the entire yard at an even layer. I explained to the owner, that manually spreading soli over the entire yard would not get an even layer. Owner did agree. Prior to doing any topdressing work, there was topsoil added to all visible low areas. I have included a text conversation with owner and even sent videos of the work being done. NO questions were present at the time. Owner did comment on driveway, and I advised that our trucks are small and do not cause damage to pavement. If the damage was a weight issue, the entire driveway would have been affected. IF, there was a weight issue at the edge of the driveway, possibly there was an installation issue of the blacktop driveway. We do not have concrete proof that any damage was caused by our truck. We are denying this claim and believe we made appropriate corrective action already to the delivery of the service.
Thank you,
Andrew

If A&A acknowledges they did not provide the complete product quoted, why don't they just make it right or provide a billing adjustment for half of a job. Regardless if A&A's excuses and denials, the fact is the entire lawn is not leveled out as I expected based on their quote. Spreading a layer of compost is not the topsoil that was quoted, and did not fill in the remaining holes, ruts, and low areas. Had I known it was to fill in the major holes only, I never would have proceeded. There are many areas still with ruts and unevenness and not all areas got seeded. The fully loaded dump truck had significant weight and the crew backed it off the edge of the driveway into the yard without permission to pull off the driveway into the yard. The heavy truck no doubt made the driveway crack where the driveway was undisturbed prior to the truck pulling off and partially parking the front wheel on the asphalt surface edge per the pictures provided. There was no reed to pull off of the driveway at all. The crew could have easily loaded their wheelbarrows from the driveway. As a matter of fact, the driveway is a much more level surface to work from than pulling into the yard. A&A is charging me full price for an incomplete job of leveling the entire yard as quoted. Clearly, it was deceptive. If they charge me half, I’ll finish the job myself and get the driveway repaired.Business response

Hi
I agree to a reduction of 30%, Invoice already has a 20% discount applied. I am not agreeing that we have not meet customers expectations or to any property damage. the reduction in the invoice is only in good faith.
Thank You

I requested a service for Aeration and overseeding on August 1st and scheduled it for August 5th but then called and said I would call to reschedule it since I wouldn't be home anymore because of work. The lawncare company kept rescheduling it on their own without my resquest, sending multiple text message reminders on Aug 21 and 24 that they were coming to do the service. I replied to those messages on August 20 and 24 saying that I wanted to cancel and would reschedule it when i was ready because my lawn had not been mowed recently. They ignored my text and voice request and continued to reschedule the service on their own, sending text reminders that they were coming, with texts on Aug 31st, Sept 27, 28, and 29. I called to cancel again but they wouldn't answer the phone. On Sept 30 they did the service without my authorization, trespassing into my property while I was away from home. They have forced this service on me after multiple cancelation attempts and now are charging me $438.84 through this scam. I have tried to solve the problem with the company but they have been very rude and dismissive.Business response

I do show where we scheduled the aeration and overseeding multiple times do to your request and on the last time that we re-scheduled, you received a call ahead and a text message the day before and we did not receive a response so we went ahead and completed the service that was requested. Not once did we receive a cancel request, just a reschedule request until the last time we received no response. I do apologize and believe there may have been some miscommunication. I am going to go ahead and credit the aeration and overseeding. If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact me.Customer response

The absolute worst lawn care company I have ever dealt with. This is not a big enough space to tell you about our experiences with them. It has been a nightmare from day 1 and Saturday and today finally broke me. I would like someone other than the poor gal who answers the phone to call me. She has to lie for her superiors. We want no more contact with this company as far as lawn care is concerned. Desired resolution-have owner or top manager call us. Cancel any further services. Possibly have them come back and fix the yard where they tore it up last weekend.Business response

Hello
I received an email yesterday asking for a call about some issues. Message was left yesterday afternoon. I provided my cell phone number to call back. After looking over account I saw a message from the online portal that was forwarded to the lawn care manger. He too left a message yesterday. We stand behind our work and will work to get a resolution.
