1: I was told bridal trial dry runs were not included in the package pricing but if I signed a contract for myself, my wedding party and mother & mother-in-law I would receive discount pricing for a dry run for my mom and I. Even though that felt like a pressure sale, I went ahead and signed the contract, gave a $300 deposit and scheduled the bridal trial dry run appointments for $95 and $95 for my mom and I both getting hair and makeup trials. To my surprise and disappointment my mom was only scheduled for makeup and not hair. Then there was a bait and switch with the cost and I was forced to pay $150 for my mom and mine was $245. I have documentation of the bait and switch which is extremely unprofessional behavior. 2: on the day of the dry run both gals were late. One of them was sick and complained about it most of the time. There was a lot of chaos happening in the studio that day and things were literally being moved out of the stall like the mirror and shelves and chairs, making my mom and I both feel like we were a bother and in the way. 3: quality of the hair and makeup results. I intentionally scheduled a morning appointment to see how my hair and makeup would hold up through pictures, wedding and reception. We live 10 minutes from the studio and by the time we got home both my mom and I already had creases in our makeup at the eyes, forehead and chin. I have time stamp 9:42 am pictures. My hair had already gone flat and the curls were straightening. I feel at a loss for $500. For just bridal trials. They want $695 paid before you even get a trial. They intentionally took advantage of me and the end product that they overcharged me for was unacceptable. I have all pictures and emails. I am formally requesting a full refund of my $300 deposit and the $55 ($150-$95) for my mom’s trial run as well as the difference $150 ($245- $95) for my trial run. Even though my mom didn’t actually receive the hair trial. Total refund is $505 out of the $695 paid in total.
