Florence Urgent Care at 8820 Bankers St, Florence, KY 41042 is refusing to bill my primary insurance. The date of service was 7/3/2023 and I received my first bill in Oct stating they didn’t have my primary insurance on file and requested I provide this information. I provided these insurance cards at the time of the visit but I called in Oct and gave my insurance info over the phone. I got another bill in Nov stating they still needed my insurance info. I called and gave them this info for a 2nd time over the phone. I received another bill in Dec and called for a 3rd time to give the same info over the phone. I finally received a bill in Mar stating I owed $175 for not providing my primary insurance info. I called a 4th time and gave the info a 4th time over the phone. I have called weekly for 4 weeks asking for an update on the billing. They claim it is “pending” each time I have called in those 4 weeks. I called my insurance for assistance and they stated Florence Urgent Care has never filed an insurance claim for the July visit. The insurance agent tried calling the urgent care and billing department 4 separate times with the billing department immediately sending my agent to voicemail and never giving my agent a call back. The one time the urgent care answered the phone for my agent, the secretary stated that the urgent care filed an “appeal” to my primary insurance but my agent stated that they could not file an appeal if they had never even billed the primary insurance in the first place. At this time, the secretary provided my insurance agent with the phone number to the head of the billing department. I have also tried calling this number for an entire week now and the urgent care and billing department either send me to voicemail or pick up the phone and hang up on me immediately.
