Richardson Plumbing came to my house in April to dig up my driveway that they, themselves, surveyed to fix a pipe. They realized the pipe was in the backyard. So they dug up the backyard and fixed the pipe. Well, they never put my driveway or backyard together. They are sinkholes in both. They left all kinds of hazardous debris, including rusting metal, clay pipes, pvc pipes, dirty, used gloves, and even a Richardson Plumbing hoodie. Not to mention, the termite bait they dug up that we also just had installed. Another $1,000 job. When the owner came to pick up the check, he assured me everything would be put back together. Well, it’s now going on July and I have yet to have access to my driveway or backyard. I have 2 small children who can’t play in their backyard and we have to walk through our yard to get to my car, that is parked in the street because we can’t walk down our steps that lead to the driveway. When I called the contractors that were apparently supposed to do this (*** ******) he got really nasty with me and told me, and I quote, “can you predict the weather for the next two weeks?” In which I told him, “no I’m not God nor a meteorologist.” When my realtor contacted Jay Richardson, he told her it wasn’t in the contract for him to put it back. Well I have a problem with that because THEY surveyed it incorrectly and assured me they’d come back to finish the job. We’ve been more than patient and accommodating, but enough is enough. I’m getting really upset looking at my yard and driveway, that I had just purchased April 11th. And trusted someone with a job that cost $9,500. I’d like this job done so that I can comfortably park in my driveway and so my girls can play in their fenced in backyard that once upon a time was beautiful before Richardson Plumbing ruined it for them! I’m a Christian woman and don’t wish anyones business into failure. I just want what I was promised and to have what was paid for.Business response

IN RESPONSE TO ******** ******** COMPLAINT:
OUR JOB WAS TO DIG UP THE SEWER LINE AND REPLACE IT.WE HAVE MET OUR END OF DEAL, THE PIPES ARE NOW DRAINING SMOOTH AND DOING GREAT.
IN OUR ESTIMATE IT STATES "PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE REPAIR OF DRIVEWAY IF WE HAVE TO GO UNDER TO REPLACE LINE." ALSO STATES "NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LEVELONG SEEDING OR STRAW FOR YARD.
********* COMPLAINTS WITH US IS NOT ABOUT THE NEW SEWER WE INSTALLED, BUT PRIMARILY ONLY BECAUSE HER DRIVEWAY HAD TO BE REMOVED AND HER BACK YARD NOT BEING PUT BACK TOGETHER.
WE SENT THE ESTIMATE AND INVOICE TO THE REALTOR-PATTY FRANKLIN, WHO RECOMMENDED US TO HER CLIENT, ALL WAS AGREED UPON.
WE DID SEND *** ****** LAWNCARE PROFESSIONALS OUT TO AT LEAST STRAIGHTEN THE YARD UP AND HELP *** ******** OUT. WE ALSO DUMPED A LOAD OF GRAVEL FOR THEM, AT OUR EXPENSE.
IT LOOKS LIKE ****** ALSO HAD TROUBLE BEING ABLE TO PLEASE ******** ******** AS THEY WERE YELLED AT, CUSSED AT AND WERE DEMANDED TO FIX ALL OF HER PROBLEMS.
HOWEVER, THEY CANT DO ANYTHING WHILE THE WEATHER HAD BEEN RAINY AND STORMY FOR A FEW WEEKS. THE GROUND HAD TO SETTLE AND DRY UP SOME.
ONLY TO CONCLUDE THAT THIS WAS MORE SUPPORT SHOWING THAT NEITHER COMPANY WAS ABLE TO SATAFY *** ********.
WE DID EVERYTHING OUR CONTRACT INCLUDED. I UNDERSTAND ********* FRUSTRATION WITH THE EXPENSE AND THAT HER HOME BEING TORE UP. HOWEVER, WE ONLY DO WHAT OUR CONTRACT STATES. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS. EVERYTHING WAS DONE ON OUR END.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.The problem is, that they dug up the driveway for no reason. The pipe is not u see my driveway. It is in my backyard. So they dug up the driveway for no reason and now we are responsible for doing that. And apparently “cussed out” *** ******. He was unprofessional on the phone and I responded to the same way he talked to me. Regarding the driveway, however, IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE DUG UP IN THE FIRST PLACE. Jay even came over and assured me he’d come back to fix it and never did. I will never ever recommend this company to anyone and they need to be held responsible for their unprofessional job. They have yet to clean up any debris as well. Completely ridiculous.

I don’t have a copy of the contract. I never saw a contract. That was done through my realtor and Richardson Plumbing.
