I'm not sure when the work was done, I think in June or July 2023. I will send a copy of the estimate that I was given on 2/13/2023. I am sending a copy of my receipt from my bank showing I got the cashier check on 5/15/2023. I wasn't sure exactly when they were going to do the blacktopping, so since my bank is in Lexington, I wanted the have the cashier check on hand when they did the blacktopping. The last of September, I noticed that the blacktop already had a couple of areas where the blacktop was separating already. I contacted Colston Paving about the issue and they sent out, I think his name was ****, to look at the problem. When he came out he told me that I should have taken dirt and build up the yard next to the driveway. He said they were supposed to tell me this, which they had not done. He said it looked like a large truck backed up the driveway on the edge of the blacktop and that caused it to separate like it did. He said I should get some driveway crack filler and put it in the cracks. I told him the only truck that had been on the driveway was a Fed Ex truck. I told him I didn't agree with what he was saying but I needed a statement from them explaining what they felt had caused the problem. He said he would send me one, but it would be after the next week as he was on vacation. I have had several people look at the driveway and they did not agree with what he said either. The week he was on vacation I called the business and asked to speak to ***** ******* who was the owner of the business. He was not available but I left a message on their answering machine. Later that week I was contacted by an individual in the office and she said she had looked and couldn't find anything about my issue and that ***** was wanting to know what the problem was. I explained to her what was going on and she said she would give the information to ***** and he would get back to me. Since I hadn't heard from him I called back and left another message this past week. I still have not heard anything back.

On Sept 14th 2020 We had Colston Paving come out and pave our driveway at a price of $22,000. About 3 months after they finished we noticed holes all over so we called and the estimator ****** ********* came out and said that was normal and gave us a tube of stuff to fill the holes. Then at the top of the driveway there’s a spot that is starting to separate, at the time of the install they had a hard time trying to lay the asphalt and they had to dump it thicker according to the owner, who was operating the equipment. We have made multiple calls and ****** has looked at the spot a couple of times, all they say is that there is water running under it to make it separate, the only problem with that, is that the issue is at the top and water doesn’t run uphill. My Sister-in-law works for **** ************ in Frankfort and they have viewed our issue and they told us it was installed wrong, you can’t lay asphalt that thick all at once ( approx. 6 Inches)
