I visited this business on 1/13/23. I loaded 4 washers loosely with clothing.. I set all the washers to hot wash. Every washer I used was putting out COLD WATER. SOLID COLD. NO HOT WATER IS A HEALTH ISSUE. HOT water is used to kill germs and bugs such as parasites and bed bugs.. one washer didn't even wash and my money was just stuck inside. I notified staff immediately to which two people came over and had me insert 2 more coins after I had already put $10 inside of a $6.00 washing machine. I had to unload those and insert them into another washer that worked "with cold water" also. Every washer in the facility is only cold water. There was no apology given. No refund. They acted as if I was the problem. After washing I loaded them into the dryers and waited for my clothes to finish drying. Upon removing... I noticed, dirt, smudge and grime all over my clothes that wasn't there before I placed them inside the washers. I loaded the clothes into baskets and took them to my car. I drove to another city 6 miles to re-wash my "already washed and dried" clothing from their facility. In total I spent $100 washing, drying, rewashing and drying. This place needs to be investigated as soon as possible!!! They are stealing from the public and they know it. Biggest concern as stated previous times before, this is a major health issue!! I want my money PLEASE! Being a single disabled mother I depend on every dollar I spend. I shouldn't have to worry about either washing clothes or feeding my kids that day because a facility doesn't meet the needs there facility is supposed to provide. Working order washers. Washers that don't take your money. And staff that is caring about their customers!Business response

Regarding the case number above, our response to her complaint is: if there are service issues known to the owners, they are addressed immediately when reported. As of January 13, 2023 when Ms. ******** visited the Five Star Laundry Mat, there is no record of any service issues on that day. If there are any issues, problems or complaints, our attendants, which were on site in the date of question, would have notified management immediately. There were no notifications made on January 13, 2023 or days following. This letter is the first notification of any complaint. The attendants on duty from 7am to 4pm, said that there were no mechanical issues with any equipment that day. We also provide the service of wash and dry for drop off consumers, attendants use the same machines as consumers daily, with no issues reported. For safety reasons, our machines are locked when in use and all machines, rinse in cold water. Therefore, the clothing would feel cold after washing. We do provide a community service and have been in business since 2005 with no complaints. We also run another established business in the community and have been in business since 1970. We take pride in our service to our community and trust our employees to notify us if they deem necessary.
